Queensland GAA finally get a break from the weather Gods as they completed a full schedule of league games in all four GAA codes on the weekend. However, with wet weather at the start of the week, heavy ground conditions made life difficult for players at Gaelic Park in Willawong, Brisbane. Sunday was a day that saw hurling side, Na Fianna, wrap up the league title and here to tell us about their game and the latest rounds of mens and ladies football, and a very exciting round-robin series of camogie games, is Queensland and Australasian GAA President, Seamus Sullivan. 24:33

Round 3 of this year’s NSW GAA Championship took place at a cold and windy Monarch Fields in Ingleburn Sydney, yesterday. With two more rounds left in regulation every result matters from here in order for teams to secure all important semi final births. For the first time in four years, the Goose the Market team took honours in last weekend’s Indianapolis Hurling League Finals at Eugene Burns Field. This seven team competition has been growing in popularity each season and this year was no exception with competitive games throughout the summer. Indy Hurling Club PRO Kyle Keesling takes us through last Sunday ‘s action and also looks ahead to the St. Louis Tournament this weekend which sees the club send two hurling teams, one camogie, and for the first time ever, a mens football team.

In the penultimate round of the Toronto GAA Mens Senior Football League last Sunday at Centennial Park, St. Mikes edged rivals and champion’s St. Vincents to set up a league final in September. The win should give Vincents a shot of confidence ahead of the Toronto Football Championship which gets underway at Centennial Park this Sunday. For the second week in a row London GAA has been hit with bad weather, resulting in the further cancellation of games and schedule disruption. The incessant rain has wreaked havoc of late and led to the postponement this weekend of the inaugural three-day All Britain Competition (ABC) youth championships at Greenford, now re-fixed for August. In the Podcast we look back on the last two weekend’s limited schedule with London GAA PRO Declan Flanagan.

Thurles is the place to be this Saturday, July 14, as an historic event takes at St. Patrick’s College when Europe GAA comes to Ireland to showcase for the very first time the European Hurling and Camogie Championship Finals. County Tipperary will get to welcome home sons and daughters and also get a chance to see players from 15 different nationalities playing the ancient game and battling it out for Europe’s top hurling and camogie prizes. The Finals will feature five Ladies teams, and five Men’s teams from Paris, Brussels, Holland, Luxembourg and Zurich. The games take place from 9.30 am onwards at St. Patrick’s College, Cathedral Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Entry is free.
