BSP: Believer Skeptic Podcast

Summary: BSP: Believer Skeptic Podcast is a podcast where two idiots debate the Belief and Skepticism of different phenomena. They will cover topics that fall under different categories such as cryptozoology, the supernatural, spiritualism and more. While sipping Booze or Spirits one host will state the reason he or other people Believe in the chosen topic and the other host will state the reason he or other people are Skeptics. There will be a lot of fun, humor, and sometimes some insightful information (as much as two idiots can provide). Each episode will end with a segment called BS Weekly, in which the hosts each cover one current event or newstory that is scary, interesting, or just plain weird. They are always looking for new topics to cover, so if you have an idea for a future episode, message them, Tweet them, or email them. Happy listening! *Episodes may contain some colorful language, listener discretion is advised.

 Episode 17.5 – Croatoan | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:08

In this minisode, Chris and Cody discuss the word Croatoan. It’s perhaps the most mysterious word ever, appearing throughout history and immediately signaling a death or crazy disappearance. Cody shares stories where the word appears. Chris discusses the origin of the creepy word. This is a teaser for our next full episode. See if you can guess what it is based on this minisode. Our drinks of choice were: nothing, because Chris and Cody were already toasty from recording the Stigmata episode.

 Episode 17 – Holey Stigmata | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:33

In this episode, Chris and Cody discuss the strange religious phenomena known as stigmata. Listen as Chris shares some history and gives the criteria required to be a stigmatic. Cody talks about his namesake, St. Francis, and the fact his mother wanted Cody to have stigmata. Chris has a very interesting story about a woman whose blood created writings in languages she didn’t know. BS Weekly returns to discuss another strange Spanish tradition (no, not the poo-related Caga Tio). Drinks this week are: St. Francis Cabernet and Cruz Garcia Reál Sangria.  Episode 16.5 – Minisode #2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:03

Welcome to our second minisode! Once again, we're giving just a teaser of our next episode. You should join the "cool" club and learn about our subject before it's actually released. In this minisode, Cody tries to keep the topic vague by discussing multiple spiritual phenomena related to Therese Newmann. Then Chris gives the entire farm away, but it's all worth it because he shares a really cool story about Irving Francis Houle. Listen in to learn more and we'll see you next week for the "official" podcast. Stories

 Episode 16 – St. Patrick’s Day Special: The Frighting Irish | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:57

In this episode Cody and Chris have not one, but two special guests! Irish fellows Eddie and Paddy from the Bayk Podcast join BSP for some spooky Ireland fun. Eddie tells us about the Banshee, while Paddy and Cody share their personal experiences with her. Paddy also discusses a very personal story about an Irish ghost (it gave everyone chills). Chris talks about a moving statue and weird Irish cryptids that roam the rivers. Cody debunks the banshee with audio evidence, while Chris uses scientific statistics for his belief. Instead of BS Weekly, Chris and Cody play the game Which Irish Creature Am I with Eddie and Paddy. This episode is brought to you by: Pacific Pilsner, Liberty Creek and Irish Cream (and Root Beer).  Episode 15.5 – Minisode #1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 12:13

Surprise! It's our first minisode! We thought we'd give our listeners a treat on the weeks we don't do a full episode. This bi-weekly "tinysode" should help fight those BSP withdrawals. During each minisode, we'll share a couple stories (with minimal editing so you may get some behind-the-scenes fun) that will hint at our next topic. For this first minisode, the topic may be obvious, but there's a fun twist. Hope you like pudding! Stories Hungry Grass http://cryptidz.wikia.com/wiki/Hungry_Grass

Episode 15 – BSP and The Case of The Parallel Universe | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:48

Joe tells how Mandela Effect relates to Pikachu. Chris talks about a girl who remembers a funeral she attended (which she may have not attended at all). Cody shares a personal story that deals with squirrel murder. Then, in a suprise turn of events, Chris may be the skeptic this time while Cody might be the believer. DUN DUN DUNNNN! Cody takes a look at love potions and spells, some so ridiculous, you almost wouldn’t believe people pay fortunes for them. Almost. Chris talks briefly about an insane True Crime case centered around the aphrodisiac Spanish Fly. Cody shares stories of love spells gone horribly awry.
