In all of my experiences responding and conversing with countless people online and in life over the years, never has there been such an explosive topic as Fatherless Homes, Child Support and the Innocent Children that are hurting between them. It's a fiery topic that evokes such emotional responses and it is one where it doesn't seem like most can ever see eye to eye. Under the heading of the Fatherless home, it is just too broad of a scope to figure that a "one size fits all" answer and solution can heal every diverse scenario. You have the deadbeat dads on one side of the scope as well as those who take care of there children 365 days a year without fail even if they are not with their child's mother. So it is hard to say that all men are deadbeat as some women might want to believe because they've gotten burnt by one. While many programs have focused on the deadbeat fathers who fall in the range of being non supportive and non existent in their child's life, there is a need to focus on those mothers who are venom laced from the hurt that they've experienced and pain that they transfer over to their child unnecessarily from the years of bashing the father that they never knew. While many times this angry mother has many legitimate reasons to be pissed off, her inability to let the anger go after a time to move on to a more productive positive life does more hurt to her child than the deadbeat dad ever did! These angry hurt mothers don't understand that as they continually bash their child's father that they are reenforcing the same outlook on life into their child without giving them a fair chance to grow up and assess life for what it is through their eyes without any undue interference into their natural process of development.

It's a very public modern day Shakespearean tragedy where there is no winner except that opportunistic leeches called the mainstream media, who benefit from the curiosity of the masses receiving untold millions for their high advertising rates from those who need a captive audience to absorb their sales pitch while the parents of Trayvon Martin move about the earth in utter lack feeling the ultimate pain that every parent fears would one day be theirs. I oftentimes ask myself, is there really justice in a place where grown men and women who claim they believe in the credo "In God We Trust" yet say the cold hearted insensitive comments while hidden away safely in the comfort of their homes, behind the shield of a keyboard to further reveal what we as Black people have always known our bigoted neighbors and coworkers to hold secretly in their hearts about us behind the plastic smiles and labored courtesies executed that are so obviously strained in a game of "let's play pretend" while the elephant in the living room of denial lives on eating well from the dirty plate called racism. There will be a verdict and there WILL be a reaction, but as obvious as it is that George Zimmerman has a strange chance to walk, we need to rally together in a strong show of unity that will shut down this system once and for all to enforce that this will never happen again no matter WHAT the outcome! Let's talk about it!

This I'm sure is a show topic question that will evoke numerous responses for sure! While many citizens of the United States of America will probably say that the days of U.S.'s former so called glory did nothing for them in the manner it did if you were a filthy rich investment banker who manipulated the retirement funds of those hard working middle class blue collar workers who gave their lives to you in trust to only find themselves with nothing to sit back on in their golden years, or a crooked politician who manipulated laws to favor the affluent business owners to receive kickbacks under the table. They definitely have a point if they feel this way but the one thing that most will agree on is that this current version of the United States of America is NOT what it once was as it seems to be plummeting down into a bottomless abyss at the speed of light. We all feel that we know what the causes are and most are not wrong in their assessments. The job market in the private sector and government level is simply horrible. Layoffs are not that rare occurrence that may happen briefly for a time for the few, but it's almost guaranteed in the minds of the masses as most people feel that it's a matter of WHEN it will happen as the fear of not having a job is what many wake up to everyday as they go to work fearful if the paycheck they receive this week might be their last. So why America's former glory may not have been the most wonderful time for many of us, the few crumbs that we USED to have now are not even there anymore and that deficient past that we thought had so much to be desired now appears to be a Utopian dream that we wish could back even for a little while. Who is truly to blame for this and do we have to bear some of the responsibility for not heeding the signs and adjusting our lifestyles accordingly for what we now see in hindsight as being the inevitable?

Around midnight of Friday, May 17 2013, 32 year old Mark Carson and a friend was enjoying a evening on the town in New York's Greenwich Village area where he was repeatedly harassed verbally by a total stranger and his two friends who had followed them for quite some time after the slurs began about their sexual preference. Carson and his friend were dressed in tank tops and cut off shorts and boots. They shouted phrases like" "Look at these faggots! What are you gay wrestlers?" They exchanged words but Carson's friend thought that it would be a better idea just to leave it alone and walk away. The knuckleheads continued their harassment by calling them "faggot and queer!" The bigoted predator who is an ex-con, named Elliot Morales, then asked the duo if they "wanted to die here?" One of the two who accompanied Morales got scared and ran off right before a silver Taurus .38 caliber revolver was pulled out to shoot Mark Carson in the face. The cowardly Morales ran away as Carson collapsed to the pavement. After being spotted not too far from the scene of the murder and arrested, Elliot Morales lay on the pavement himself in handcuffs and had the nerve to laugh and scream out: "Yeah, I shot him in the head!" Morales is held without bail on charges of second-degree murder as a hate crime, menacing and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. My question to all who are listening is have we become too tolerant of hate crimes such as these? Hate crimes are unacceptable no matter WHO is the victim!

This is a topic that I personally think many people haven't really thought about deeply but probably have some strong opinions on. While I don't think that I can come up with any accurate numbers to support the claim that many former and active believers have ceased to partake in that once considered mandatory act of attending a weekly service, I believe that it is universally accepted that the church is not presently viewed as the honorable place that it once was. While church scandal has been around ever since the church had been formed, I believe that it is because of the quick access to information dispersed in cyberspace through social media that has delivered the final knockout blow in the perception that all things officially holy are not what it's all cracked up to be. Granted, I don't think anyone would say that all churches are riddled with major sex scandals, political power plays and sole intention of merely fleecing the flock, but it's only human nature that will focus on the bad apples that will always gain more attention than the good the church has done and give an "out" to those who never wanted to stop living a sinful life in the first place. Now matter where you fall on the vast scale of opinion on what the real intentions of the modern day church is all about, it appears to me that the overall integrity of all things church is at an all time low and that many have taken the route of worshipping their God on their own and in their own unique way.This is why many former church members feel a whole lot better NOT going at all as they now don't have to deal with the spiritual speedbumps that are present in the so called houses of worship called the modern day church. So the question remains, can you still make it to Heaven without ever going to church?    

This LanceScurv Tuesday Morning show was created due to the massive spillover of the abundance of positive energy that we were gifted with on our previous Monday Night Open Discussion Forum. Here on The LanceScurv cyber-network, we usually do not schedule shows so late during the week because of the work obligations of many of our listeners, but because it would have been a crime to not do so, we did and it worked out just perfect.
