V.R. makes it very clear that NO man made program or method can make anybody a Christian! God has say the words "LIVE!" for this to happen. V.R., in his despair over the collapse of Christianity in Britain and Europe at the beginning of the 21st Century opens the book of Jonah, looks at his personal journey of the runaway prophet into the very heart of God. This is a message written for our instruction upon whom the ends of the world have come. This is the story of Jonah, a picture of a pathetic church, puked on the shores of their mission destination with nothing but a word from God to the waiting world and that message is REPENT! The commission of the King of Kings is the Father's sanction for an all out assault on the prince of darkness. We need to get off our own back foots and join Him in this conquest.

This is the continuing story of the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem by that lion of a man called Nehemiah and in today's mid-week Bible study, V.R. unpacks for us some of the schemes of the devil, pointing out that whenever we are involved in rebuilding, reclaiming and restoring the honor and place of God, then the devil, that old vixen, is there resisting us all the time. This is a given. How can we defeat him?

This is our Midweek Message and today V.R. is still looking at Nehemiah 2:17 and asking the question "Why Has All This Happened?" In other words, why has the church in the West declined so drastically in recent years? Do the books of Nehemiah and Ezra give any reasons what this might be? V.R. seems to think so and in this Bible study looks at the fall of the church in Britain and the rise of Islam, suggesting that through the mixing of oil and water, which do not go together and also the joining of light and darkness, which also do not go together, that these might have become one of the main pollutants in the church which has destroyed it from within. This happens when a Christian dates or marries outside of the covenant of grace.

This is our Sunday Sermon and today V.R. is beginning to unpack a sermon entitled "The War To Come" where he talks about the Wrath of The Lamb, looking at the latter stages of Jacob's Trouble a period of unimaginable tribulation in future world history. This message is rooted somewhere in the middle of that tribulation period and refers to it as the wrath of the Lamb. We need to remember that the throne of God is a judgment throne and a fiery Judge sits on it. Here V.R. is looking at the opening of Number 6 of the 7 seals of Revelation 6 and trying to answer the question of why bad things happens to seemingly good people. Is God really a judge? Will He really cast people into a furnace of fire? What did gentle Jesus, meek and mild, really say that He will actually do with the cursed lost? I mean come on, do we really have to flee the wrath to come?

The question V.R. asks is "Are we willing to pay the price and give everything that is precious of and from ourselves to God for His service?

This is a message of double comfort for those maturing in Christ and being taught of the Lord, who have found His school colours to be black and blue. God knows where you are. He knows your situation and the great sadness of your heart. He is intimately and intricately involved with all the sons of His love and in doing so IS working all things together for your good. May you be strong and very courageous and trust Him in this - your great trial. Amen

And what better place to begin than in the Book of Nehemiah and look at how this eunuch, this Pietist, this Patriot and true Puritan wept of his sins, his family's sins, his nation's sins. In doing so acknowledged the righteous judgment of God upon his own capital city, which as yet, he probably had never even seen. This is the continuing story of a revolution. Ezra had taken the capital back to the Bible, now Nehemiah would take enormous courage and seem himself out a heavenly inheritance in rebuilding, reclaiming and renewing all the broken down guardian structures of that great city, the very heart of the people of God, Zion!

The big question VR raises both for Britain and for the USA is this: will God's people hear God's shout or will they hear God's whisper? Will some say "this was the voice of God," or will they say "it simply thundered?"
