V.R. seems to think so and in this Bible study looks at the fall of the church in Britain and the rise of Islam, suggesting that through the mixing of oil and water, which do not go together and also the joining of light and darkness, which also do not go together, that these might have become one of the main pollutants in the church which has destroyed it from within. This happens when a Christian dates or marries outside of the covenant of grace.
