Jimmy Wales, a self-described objectivist, founded Wikipedia in 2001. Wikipeida aggregates information through collaboration by an online community of volunteers and it is currently the most popular reference in the world. Wikipedia revolutionized our understanding of both what "information" is and what an online community is capable of doing. It democratized information and became a new paradigm for the future. Imagine if we could aggregate power in this manner? That is a model going forward for the Coffee Party.

Heather Booth, Director of Americans for Financial Reform, will fill us in on the behind-the-scenes legislative state of play, and the status of derivatives reform as the bill heads towards final voting. Ed Mierzwinski, a long time consumer advocate for US PIRG, will fill us on on the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. Laurie Dunivant-Larsen will host, and one more CP financial reform advocate will join us in a panel discussion. We will spend the last ten minutes of the show discussing specific actions Coffee Party members can take to bring the strongest bill possible across the finish line.
