Episode 343 starts off with a discussion of a French old wives tale, then we talk about the Apéro Géant scandal, chaos on trains this week, and whether movies should be remade for different countries or adjusted according to the audience, then discuss a popcorn drama and hear a confession from Katia.
In episode 342 Kylie tells us how the translation of her paper is going, then we chat about the news, from the Champs Elysées going green, to biking in Paris and art thefts, and finally we talk about surprise birthdays, mammals, Billy the Exterminator and cabarets!
In episode 341 we try to find a solution for Katia's voicemail dilemma, then chat about the love lock drama on the Pont des Arts and students striking about a phantom holiday change! Kylie tells us how her paper translation is going, which leads to a lengthy discussion about translating certain words and the misuse and overuse of certain English words in French (and vice versa).
We discuss museums and noodles in episode 340, with the Nuit des Musées and the next k&k Get Cultured excursion - a Paris Ghost Tour with Mysteries of Paris! Then Katia reveals that she and the Muffin Man are on the hunt for an apartment, and things get interesting as we discuss the often very surprising differences between doing the same thing in France, Australia and the US.
We continue our chat with Cara Black, author of the Aimée Leduc murder mystery series in episode 339! We find out how she knows so much about French culture and current events and we discuss the inspiration for the various interesting characters in her novels - from Aimée Leduc, the typical Parisian woman with an American edge, to Réné, her vertically challenged partner, and finally to the multi-faceted role of Paris as a character.
In episode 338, we have the pleasure of meeting Cara Black, the fascinating author of the Aimée Leduc detective series, from Murder in the Marais to her most recent book, Murder in the Palais Royal. We chat about why she chose to base her series in Paris, how she does her research into the various quartiers of Paris and all the different subjects covered in each book, and she even reveals some of the secrets and stories behind the books!
In episode 337 we get to talking about culture again, Kylie tells us what she is doing this summer, we give an update on the robbery that happened at Opéra a few weeks ago, Katia makes a mess of a story about something that happened with a fnac contest and the French flag and we talk about our respective perceptions of our national flags, national anthems and national pride.

Katia calls out Kyliemac for not having seen any French movies lately, then we talk about museums and attempts to get cultured.
In episode 335 we get to chatting about birthday months and the consequences of volcanic ash clouds, post party parties including listeners making the most of being stuck in Paris and Janilani's fantabulous gumbo party. Frog, Kathryn & Steve start us off with a song (it's awesome de chez awesome), then we get cheeky with stereotypes again, discussing whether real Frenchmen can follow rules, customer service, Paris as the swingers capital of the world, corks vs screwtops, the Parisian survivalist mentality, queues, macarons, French inventions and the Academy Française, then we finish off the episode with "it wouldn't be France if..."!
