Why do some people throw in the towel and give up prematurely on relationships and connections that appear to be quite promising? The crew surveyed the listeners (50% women & 50% men) who shared their personal reasons for giving up or walking away too soon. One answer that seemed to resonate with some of our quitters was this notion of waiting and wondering if something better would come along. Nique says when she’s dating, she focuses on Mr. RIGHT NOW, and she doesn’t think about the possibility of someone else. Yusuf tries to get the group to understand that everyone doesn’t have the same concept of respect and those differences can sometimes create confusion if not communicated. C.L. contends that even a stripper wants to be treated with respect and that no woman should have to tell a man that she wants to be treated with decency. Professor Tee shares that a man once quit or gave up on her because he said she was too strong. Listen to find out more about why quitters quit and how we can recognize the signs of a quitter.   Contact us via email: Relstatpodcast@gmail.com or call us on our hotline 843-310-8637   Follow us on all social media platforms: Twitter: https://twitter.com/relstatpodcastFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/relationshipstatuscast/IG: https://www.instagram.com/relstatpodcast/   Nique Crews: IG, twitter: @NiqueCrews, FB: Nique CrewsYusuf: IG & Twitter: @YoshInTheBuilding Cl Butler: IG & Twitter; @CL2Butler Nateisha: IG: @Tee_Samuel

Hosts: Nique Crews, C.L. Butler, Nateisha & Yusuf   PLEASE FILL OUT THE SURVEY BY CLICKING THIS LINK: https://forms.gle/aHrQJdRs2y82V5Ds9   Topic: Communicating Needs This week’s episode is about Needs. How and when should we communicate our needs to our significant other, and at what point during the dating stage should this conversation occur? C.L. says you have to know what your needs are, and Nique suggests that those needs should be communicated during the talking stage. Yusuf cautions that if a person has a need that requires a partner to change, it's only going to work if that person sees the value in the change. Teisha contends that when two people agree to be in a relationship, each partner should come to the table being open and willing to try and meet the other’s needs. Listen to the show to find out who mentions slow-talking, who says that women feel owed after sex, who says a person doesn’t have to show compassion to show respect, and who says she doesn’t want to be the leader in a relationship. Each team member shares one of his/her own personal needs in a relationship and discusses why this is important.
