We started out with the question: "Do you have the license to make the money?"Shari Williams, the Goddess of Drones, shared how she made the transition from PR to Flying Drones. There were even a few tips about who may be hiring drone flyers in the near future. There are limitless opportunities because the commercial use of drones is still fairly new. - career options - flexibility - you have niche down Many of the tips Shari shared mirror what is done in the Speaking Industry. Do you have the skills to be considered an expert in your field? While quarantine has definitely had its disappointments and hardships, there is the potential for you to add to your media kit and experience. Thinking of your speaking business in the same way that a drone operator does can put you in a different mindset. Better yet, it can put you in a different tax bracket. Ask yourself these questions:~ Are you showing people what you do? ~ Do you have certification or training in your industry? ~ Have you networked with people in your industry? ~ Do you know who you serve? ~ Do you know the laws of speaking? The most powerful way for you to show up as the expert and not be put into a box is to do the work. Having a mentor or coach adds accountability and credibility to you as a speaker. They allow you to fly a little higher just like when you are a drone operator. Think about how drones are being used to save lives. Your speech, your book, your course has the same level of value when you invest in it. Shari dropped the mic in this episode when she said, "What in life is really that easy?" The goal for us is to pass the tests in life, in business, and even in self-development so we can teach someone else. Become a professional in everything.  #unmuted - Recreating the Speaker Stage | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1780

The #1 complaint I hear from speakers right now is that they don’t have a stage. Many conferences have been postponed, canceled or converted to a virtual event. This has definitely become a time for a pivot in the speaking industry but did it just start now? For years I’ve talked about Telesummits, podcast interviews, and virtual training as an extension of the speaker stage. With more and more opportunities to get in front of your target audience how can speakers recreate the speaker stage? While in quarantine, I’ve spoken in front of almost 50,000 people across the globe. That is not including live streaming and my own podcast. My strategy didn’t have to change as much as you would think and there three things that mattered most! 1. Be consistent in your message 2. Networking outside your circle 3. Lead with service Come join the conversation as we dig into how speakers can still remain active and relevant during the quarantine. Want more information about doing virtual summits?  Forced to Quit with Annette Morris, M.A. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3087

With everything going on at the moment I think it is time to quit! Many didn't have an option not to quit because we now have an abundance and the space to recreate the life we want to live. We have been forced to quit the excuses that have kept us from using our creativity to its fullest capacity. We have also been forced to quit accepting a toxic environment, self-doubt and the status quo. I mean homeschooling was never the status quo for me. (Somehow I believe I must have done something wrong for me to be thrust back into high school with my teens. lol) With that being said, mental health has been thrust to the forefront as people have been quarantined with themselves, their thoughts and their loved ones. Still, a taboo subject in some communities, celebrities like Taraji P. Henson and Jada Pinkett-Smith bring more attention to mental health. The more we talk about it the more comfortable we become seeking help and dealing with it. Our guest today, Annette Morris, was in the mental health industry for 14 years before becoming a life coach. She dropped some gems that are relevant and valuable as we head into our second month of dealing with COVID-19. ~ Consistent self-care is important ~ Creating a personal daily routine is valuable ~ Going to sleep later or get up earlier for "me time" if necessary~ Deep breathing and meditation for 10 minutes One thing that Annette highlighted during today's episode was that this is your time! That things that have been resurfacing in your life could be the thing that you should be working on. That one gift has the potential to add five streams of revenue from it. (Connect with Annette about how to figure out what those five streams can be) This is a great time to monetize your gifts. Pivot, don't pause! Developing a person is valuable now as people have been forced to quit. That development includes determining and handling mind barriers as well as those voices that can drown out our creativity. There were a few other hidden gems that Annette shared that can help you when it comes to coaching. Before you go to a coach it is a good idea to have a name for your business, know your target audience and have an idea of the products or services you want to provide. This will help you not to get sucked into purchasing things that are unnecessary for what you want to do business. Annette J. Morris, M.A. is a Professional Mental Health Counselor, Certified Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Published Author, Entrepreneur, and Business Consultant. Her favorite quote which is the philosophy she lives by is "you will get all you want in life if you help enough people get what they want" by the late Zig Ziglar. Her professional career is focused solely on helping others to either accomplish their goals as an entrepreneur or in life as a whole. Although Annette has accomplished a lot in life, she had very humble beginnings. She was reared for 23 years in a local housing project by a single mother and had to overcome many obstacles on this journey called life. However, all that she's endured in her past has helped to form the Annette of the present. Annette is a first-generation college graduate and has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the Southern University of New Orleans and a Master's of Arts Degree from the Xavier University of Louisiana. She's also the first full-time entrepreneur of her family and Owner/Lead Consultant of Goal Getter, LLC. As the Owner of Rugg3d F3mm3™, Fitness Coach, Personal Trainer, and all-around Fitness Enthusiast, I can most definitely say that I love what I do.Although it’s not easy at times, my entire fitness journey hasn’t been but somehow still feels like a cake-walk. I have been through many ups and downs but have managed to always stay dedicated to my fitness journey and that alone is what got me here today.Once I was satisfied with my results I thought it was time to take things a step further by creating a logo that represents me and as well as other women that can relate to doing anything that may appear outside of the norm. I love the feeling of lifting weights and I love the sexy results that it gives me afterward. I love the feeling of being in the shooting range and I love the feeling of knowing how to protect myself. I love riding a motorcycle and I love the feeling of being a sexy badass. I even love the feeling of working in a warehouse environment and I love getting paid to do the same job the men are doing all while feeling and being sexy and going hard at it. I love the feeling of hitting a heavy bag and I love the feeling of defending myself. I love the feeling of how I look doing it all in my sexiest workout clothing or in a pair of heels. My range is literally from stiletto to steel toe and back to stiletto. And this is what Rugg3d F3mm3™ represents. Women who can do both and still “Be the strong, sexy and fierce woman they want to be.”Social Media Handles (LinkedIn, Facebook etc.)Instagram: @0nyx.fitness & @rugg3df3mm3Facebook: 0nyx.fitness & @rugg3df3mm3
