Raising a Speaker...Himanshu Garg has been named the youngest fitness influencer in the country at age 19. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1754

Raising a Speaker When it comes to nurturing the dreams of a child many would give a side-eye to the child wanting to become a professional speaker. Hey, we heard how Steve Harvey talked about getting in trouble in school for saying that he wanted to be on T.V. It was his father that inspired him to write whatever the teacher wanted to see on the paper but to still go after his dream. (We see how that worked out right?) After reading about Himanshu Garg being named the youngest fitness influencer and speaker in his country it sparked some inner joy. I know of a youth that is even younger here in the United States that are speakers and authors. It warms my heart when children are influenced to follow their dream and supported by their parents. Himanshu even attributed his success to the involvement of his parents in the original article on The Asian Age website. (Original article: https://asianage.com/life/more-features/260919/lifestyle-influencer-himanshu-garg-is-now-the-countrys-youngest-motivational-speaker.html?fbclid=IwAR1siXx4jraEIPb_s8veMcTwB7ygx1VC9NVfULQX4ASPTgRaFkGgz8PU91s) So, how do you support your child’s dream of being a motivational speaker? How do you give them the necessary tools for them to stand on their own in the speaking industry? Trust me, from experience, this industry is not always the easiest of fields to be in. Especially if you are looking to get paid. In today’s episode, we will dive into three key elements you will need to support your child. 1.Space to grow 2.Education 3.Foundation/Value system Altovise Pelzer is an Award-winning Speaker, Author, Live Streamer, Coach and founder of the World Voice League.  #50booksin50days the story of Mason Engel author of 2084 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2118

When I saw the headline "50 books in 50 days" my eyes brightened. Had someone published 50 books in 50 days or sold 50 books in 50 days. The online article was on "The Republic" website and so I rushed over to see what it was about. Turns out, I was wrong on both accounts. (It happens) Once I read the story I was intrigued and inspired to talk about it on the #SpeakEasy Podcast show. Of course, I had to put my #SpeakEasy spin on it but I know this episode will encourage those who are newcomers to the industry. Oddly enough, it may spark some things for the author that is seasoned in the industry as well. There were 7 main takeaways that I got from the article which wasn't a long read.Lessons on the journey:1. The journey matters2. Practice makes you better 3. Sacrifice is needed 4. There is always support 5. Things change 6. Serving and listening 7. Sometime you gotta go off the grid(original article: http://www.therepublic.com/2019/09/25/50_books_50_days_and_a_car_named_thunder_columbus_native_takes_crosscountry_trip_to_nations_bookstores/)What we realize, as authors, are that our journies often have many similarities. Mason Engel's experience is much like my own when it comes to the joy of publishing a book and reaching that best seller's list. We often ask ourselves what's next and how we can reach more people. My car of choice was live stream while Mason's was a 1995 Mercury Tracer. Mason ate tuna sandwiches while I ate ramen. (Also known as oodles of noodles)The most import thing that happens along the way is that we impact lives, including our own. One of the many reasons I love being an Indie Author. Creativity wins again and I am loving every bit of it. The final piece of this story that stuck with me is enjoying and documenting the journey. I know that it can get difficult and we can find ourselves questioning the validity of our dream but don't quit. As you document your journey that will become fuel to help you succeed. Look back on the moments of success and learn from the moments of unsuccess. Altovise Pelzer is an Award-winning Speaker, Author, Live Streamer, Coach and founder of the World Voice League.  Tech talk in the #Speaking and #author Industries! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2431

Tech has a place in every industry and there are likewise people who fear it in every industry. For instance, the use of live streaming has vastly changed the speaking industry as much as tech has changed the field of surgery. Where going to college and getting a degree in order to become a well-known speaker or author was the main option, technology has shifted that. So, since technology has given us such a leg up, then why are people so scared of it? That would be because it also renders those who used more common ways of becoming a speaker would have competition that could almost be considered an "overnight success". That honestly makes people feel frustrated about the time and finances they previously used to get where they are. This is harder to deal with from as opposed to others. Another thing that stands out when it comes to tech and being a speaker is that it opened up more opportunities for revenue. Many are still oblivious to the way that they can use tech to make more money as a speaker. Going way beyond just posting a link to an event you can now have virtual tickets and virtual speakers. There is the opportunity to have a client halfway around the world now as well. In today's epsiode we talk a little about what tech has done and how Altovise has been able to use in building her brand. Altovise Pelzer is an Award-winning Speaker, Author, Live Streamer, Coach and founder of the World Voice League.
