Below the border in Michigan, an asian male is charged with shooting a 6-year-old black child who attempted to retrieve a bicycle. The shooter was released on $10,000 bond. Mastercard announced $1.3 billion pledge to improve Covid-19 vaccination rates in Africa. Sullivan is an actor, journalist, producer, screenwriter, and author who's hosted a television program on Oprah Winfrey's network and written reports for The Washington Post and Rolling Stone. Way back when The C.O.W.S. was in middle of reading Jeffrey Toobin's The Run of His Life, Gus said that a master class on the Simpson trial would examine that case in context with the beating of Rodney King and the subsequent trial and rioting, the LAPD Rampart scandal, and the assassinations of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. The book club just concluded Geronimo Pratt's biography, which examines how the very same LAPD and Los Angeles district attorney's office conspired to keep an innocent black male caged for 25 years - where he could have easily been killed. This month California started a two-year study into how the state might compensate African Americans for slavery and its lingering effects when a newly formed reparations committee met for the first time. As slavery abolitionists it's amazing that after all this time, blood, destruction, and suffering, we still don't know what the most basic terms which define the history of this country mean. Ask ten people to define slavery and see what you get. Next try it with race/racism. Even the word abolition has been co-opted and redefined. Normally when you ask someone to define these terms they'll tell you what they think as if guesses (educated or not) are perfectly acceptable because no one agrees on any particular definition. Sirius B? How can everyone in this country who has ever went to school not know the answer to this immediately? It's only been over 4 hunnit gotdam years of it being the source of our woes right? Right?! We're going to help with that problem. We've searched the records nationally and internationally to find a detailed definition which is legally accepted nearly worldwide. I've consulted with experts and taken council. June 6th we'll answer the question; What is Slavery? So you won't have to guess no more.

The world's second ranked women's tennis player, Naomi Osaka, withdrew from the French Open to shield her mental health and take space from the mostly White journalist covering the event. Whites continue to direct a great deal of time and energy to the Tulsa massacre of 100 years ago. Gus frequently points out that there have been at least 260 terrorist events similar to Tulsa.  Former President Barack Obama demonstrated why Gus emphasize caution with the use of metaphors when he likened White support of former President Trump to black people cheering for the acquittal of O.J. Simpson. Obama is alleged to have said that both groups know Trump and Orenthal James are guilty, but seeing them triumph "feels good." For the record, Gus T. is pretty certain Simpson is innocent of the 1994 murders, but "The Juice" being free never made me happy. Coincidentally, Simpson lawyer F. While professional athletes don't have a work environment similar to most other Victims of Racism, they're definitely not immune from White savagery. Japanese tennis sensation Naomi Osaka excused herself from the Women's French Open after declining media interviews during the tournament. White tennis officials threatened to administer punitive actions against Osaka if she remained mum. Across the globe, the NBA playoffs are in full swing, and uncouth White spectators have been a major problem. From Boston to Philadelphia, fans have thrown objects and screamed Racist obscenities at black players. Thankfully, all of the players have maintained their composure and or been immediately restrained. Thursday, June 3rd 8:00PM Eastern/ 5:00PM Pacific The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 14th and final study session on Jack Olsen's Last Man Standing: The Tragedy and Triumph of Geronimo Pratt. Olsen is a White man, and a prolific author. He wrote for Sport Illustrated during the turbulent 1960's, and penned a celebrated series examining black athletes and Racism. The magazine also credits Olsen with writing one of the best biographies on boxing icon and attempted counter-racist Muhammad Ali. Last week, Cochran thrashed Julius Butler on the stand during the 1996 hearing. The Victim of White Supremacy and FBI/LAPD informant started off polished and professorial, but got flustered and became foul-mouthed after Cochran's questioning. Butler provided one answer that resulted in even Judge Dickey wondering if the prosecution had provided specific answers they wanted the witness to repeat. Hanlon, conversely struggled questioning Judge Richard Kalustian. While Cochran allegedly made the entire court room his stage, Hanlon looked flustered and incompetent. White Jesus's birthday provides the setting for this courtroom drama. As we conclude the text this week, we again are reminded of Orenthal James Simpson and the widespread White disgust for him and the attorneys responsible for his acquittal. Hours before this broadcast aired live, it was reported that F. Lee Bailey died at the age of 87. An emeritus professor of history at Indiana University, Dr. Madison has penned a number of books examining White Terrorist Violence and U.S. history. In 2001, he wrote Lynching in the Heartland: Race and Memory in America. This book investigates the 1930 lynching of Tom Shipp and Abe Smith - which produced one of the most widely reproduced lynching images. We'll examine his more recent work, The Ku Klux Klan in the Heartland which tracks the stunning growth of the KKK in Indiana during the 20th century.
