Jazmine Nikao Interview at KE 2018 SXSW in Austin, TX!Exclusive interview with your hosts Dre Coop!!! and Shemaiah Reedhttps://www.instagram.com/yungovaseer/https://www.instagram.com/shemaiahreed/Jazmine Nikao BioOnstage, Jazmine Bledsoe, an up and coming artist, goes by “Jazmine Nikao.” The last name is Greek for “overcomer” and, if you ask Jazmine, she’ll tell you it’s a word that’s encapsulated much of her life. Born and raised in Richmond, Va., Jazmine grew up with an appreciation for music that she owes to her father, a jazz musician. Holding creativity to a high-esteem, she strives to be eclectic in her music and songwriting to achieve a refreshing sound. Jazmine has a lot of personality others have described as youthful and very energetic. It is important that she lets her personality shine through her music. Jazmine Nikao has had several traumatic experiences of her own in which she strives to use her story to uplift, motivate and overcome. Jazmine Nikao credits her ability to overcome her trauma with her joy and personality intact, to Jesus Christ. Jazmine loves life, recognizes her purpose and strives to live it out daily. When she’s not rocking the stage, or serving in the church, Jazmine loves spending time with family, watching movies, dancing, working out, and making other people laugh — usually, it’s unintentional. http://www.jazminenikao.com/https://twitter.com/jazminenikaohttp://soundcloud.com/jazminenikaohttp://instagram.com/jazminenikaoHear this podcast on Googleplay, TuneinRadio, iTunes, Spreaker, Youtube, and iHeartradioPodcast weekly broadcast location:Rockafellas Barber Shop (Owner: Rico Rodriguez)1733 Babcock Rd. Imonylowd Interview at KE 2018 SXSW in Austin, TX!Exclusive interview with your hosts Dre Coop!!! and Shemaiah Reedhttps://www.instagram.com/yungovaseer/https://www.instagram.com/shemaiahreed/Imonylowd BioSinger, Songwriter, and Spoken word artist Imani Andrea Horton was born in Raleigh, NC of 1995. She grew up in the community of Worthdale where there was never an empty street. Her parents, Andre and Allandria Sorrell, always made sure that her and her siblings experienced a fun, proactive, and God-centered life. Imani has two siblings, a sister named Nadia who is 16 years old, and a brother named Karon who is 26. Her mother is a Registered Nurse at Duke University, and her father currently owns a carpet cleaning business. Her brother is currently an active member of the United States Air Force. She states that “Although all of our careers are spread out we all work unto the same God”. As she gets older she appreciates her family more and more each day.Imani was always a wild, energetic, and lively person who always wanted to be involved in the mix of people. At a young age she became active in the youth ministry at her home church True Destiny where she participated in step, dance, and singing. She was a part of creative arts from age 8 to 17 years old and was always passionate and committed to using her gifts for the Glory of God. In between the years of 8 and 17 she also was a part of acting, mime, and the C4 leadership team at her home church where she learned the process of planning events, creating events, being a part of the fundraising team, and ministering at all of the events planned. Imani thoroughly enjoyed this process because it allowed her to prepare for what she was about to experience after high school. At age 17, Imani went off to college and attended Liberty University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministries. She’s always been passionate about youth and helping them push forward towards the purpose that God has set in place for them. Although Imani got a lot of negative feedback about choosing to go through with her degree in youth ministries, she didn’t allow that to stop her from fulfilling the vision that God gave her. While attending Liberty Imani joined a ministry team called Bridging the Gap Urban Ministries where she stepped and ministered to inner city urban youth who didn’t already have positive role models in their life. She was a part of the ministry for 2 years, and enjoyed every moment! In the spring of 2016 Imani sung at an open mic night for student activities which sparked her love for music all over again. From that night and on she continued writing and working on the music that God had laid upon her heart. In December of 2016 she graduated from Liberty and moved to Austin, Texas. She lived there for 6 months as a substitute teacher, and now she is currently back home in Raleigh. She plans to get her music career off the ground by putting her music out for the world to see, and touch lost souls through creative arts ministry. She believes that God has chosen her for such a time as this and given her all the tools that she needs to change the world. In her future she plans to travel and speak at different schools, conferences, workshops, and churches around the world. Imani always carries the mindset of God calling her for the world and not just the walls because there are so many people in this world struggling to make it day by day. She attended Detroit Public Schools. She began taking dance classes at Loving Elementary School in 3rd grade. She started writing music (r&b, rap, and love songs) in elementary school and as a child she sang with the Ethereal Choir, and the B-Still Ensemble at People's Community Church when she was a teenager. At the age of 16 she was baptized and things began to turn around in her life. As a junior at Cass Tech, she started to face health challenges causing her to leave high school and attend home-school for a semester. It was during that time that God began to open her eyes and take her through a journey, beginning with conviction. Humbled by the experience, she began to speak at events encouraging those who are going through trials and tribulations. That year, she felt a call to ministry and preached her first sermon in North Carolina at her aunt Linda's Church. After taking her first piano class in college, she began writing gospel music at the age of 19. Her first gospel ballad is entitled "I Love You". She also began gospel rapping in 2005, and one of her earliest gospel raps, written in 2006 with her sister Angela Knight "Adjust It For Me" has been performed for many years for several audiences, both young and old. In March 2007, she launched her production company "Praise His Name Productions" and began to produce music and films independently from her home studio, working on her first album "I Would Give My All". Kim attended Wayne State University and obtained her B.A. in Media Arts in May 2008 and an M.A. in Communications in December 2011. "But I never really took music serious until high school," the artist explains. In 9th-10th grade, while free-styling for other rappers, they wanted him to feature on their tracks. At the time, he was smoking, drinking, partying, gambling and selling drugs. His life was changed in January 2006 when He had an encounter with the Lord. His clothing line is called Directed P.A.T.H. (People Anointed Through Him) which is also the name of his upcoming album. He is the CEO of Calvin's World Productions, LLC, established in 2014.  Episode 38 | Harmini and DJ Evon Interview at KE 2018 SXSW | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 786

Harmini and DJ Evon Interview at KE 2018 SXSW in Austin, TX!Exclusive interview with your hosts Dre Coop!!! and Shemaiah Reedhttps://www.instagram.com/yungovaseer/https://www.instagram.com/shemaiahreed/Harmin Biohttps://www.harminiproductions.com/Hello my name is Dominic Bonsignore, more commonly known as the rap artist "HARMINI". I grew up in the projects of Riverview Apartments in Elmira, NY. Both my brother and I were raised by our mom who was a single parent struggling [with Tourettes Syndrome and] on welfare. At age seven I was molested by a local stranger who lived in our complex - the beginning of my personal life spiraling in a downward direction that was soon out of control. At age ten I began using drugs and was addicted and/or using up to 8 drugs for most of my childhood and teen years. When I was 15, our home was raided by the Elmira PD for drug trafficking; a second raid was conducted by Elmira S.W.A.T. when I was 17. For 12 years I ran the streets with thugs, local gang bangers, rappers, drug dealers and users. As the downward spiral of my life continued, it led to jail, then to prison. I ended up on probation four times during my teenage years and was hooked to the ankle bracelet for one year. I was placed in Glove house twice, rehab twice and was also hospitalized more than a dozen times for drug over dose and suicide attempts, having my stomach pumped several times with black charcoal. I was placed in detention homes, drug programs and respite homes numerous times. My repeated delinquent behaviors as a wayward child built me the reputation of an unreachable heathen without hope for change. All of these activities, including the jail and prison terms, occurred before I was 21 years old. While approaching the final two months of incarceration, I received word that my mother had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Two weeks before my scheduled release, she lost the fight she’d briefly warred. My brother, Anthony, promised our mom on her death bed as she was approaching that golden hour that he would try his hardest to be patient with me and to take care of me when I got out of incarceration. He met me at the opening gate of the jail facility and that very day took me under his wing, in hopes that he might give me a chance to pick up the broken pieces of my shattered life. Upon release, I had no work experience (except in sales and distribution of illegal substances), no driver’s license, no understanding whatsoever on how to live in the real world and was recognizably ignorant on how to manage the normal responsibilities of everyday life. [My brother relocated us to New Mexico and I returned to the only life I knew.]In spite of the answer many people didn’t want to hear and accept, they all sat in the front row seats of my life as they witnessed first hand all of the hardcore drug addictions that had me chained and bound in a dungeon of sorrows for 12 years of my life. Then, after being put in program after program lock up after lock up therapy after therapy year after year time and time again and seeing that nothing that was given to help me really had the power to bring me the freedom I so desperately needed. Then all of a sudden in such a short period of time (less than two months) they witnessed these massive addictions just suddenly begin to fall powerless behind me. At that time I began pursuing what was responsible for this transformation... Jesus Christ. I found God (Jesus Christ) in the summer of 2005. Surve Interview at KE 2018 SXSW in Austin, TX!Exclusive interview with your hosts Dre Coop!!! and Shemaiah Reedhttps://www.instagram.com/yungovaseer/https://www.instagram.com/shemaiahreed/https://www.yahkiks.com/About Yah KiksAs a believer of the almighty king, our walk of life is more than just going to church or confessing that we are believers. Here we have preachers, singers, rappers, even praise dancers, spreading the message, when it comes to Christianity It can come in all types of different expressions, but Its never been done by something as simple as a sneaker. See verbally its important, but we also must remember that physically, its important as well, its a way of life, its not just by what we say or speak in our faith, but also by what we do in our works. You ask where did the name come from? Yahshua proposed transliteration of the original Hebrew or Aramaic name of Jesus commonly used in that time. The spelling Yahshua (יהושע) is found in Hebrew texts transliterated as Yothe He Waw Shin Ayin. The Name Yahshua is just such a compound Name. It is a combination of Yahweh’s Name in a personal name (YAH: yod-heh) and SHUA (shin-ayin), which means salvation. Here at Yahshau KiKs we love God, we love fashion, there are many believers in this world who loves God and loves fashion also. Why not create our own brand behind a name that shall reign forever. You ask why would we design a sneaker with the name Yahshua! Haha why not? When it comes to any sneaker deal or shoe deal, it comes when one dominates something good or bad right. Jordan dominated the game of basketball was every persons idol, especially poor kids dreaming of making it out the neighborhood by playing sports! could have built chances in the community but instead built prisons, Kanye dominated country singers on stage at award shows (worst era in award history) and he got a shoe! Like seriously? I mean come on man! Yahshua!!YHWH, YAHWEH a.k.a Jesus!! dominated the world conquered death and rose in 3 Days.I would say that's unbeatable, Anyway! we have some nice clothing to go with our new kicks new school, old school, high end to just a regular T-shirt. If you are a believer of the most high & love to rep the name "JESUS" Yahshua KiKs we are for the believers, we live for change, and we Stand on our Faith. You can find more on us!by liking our Facebook page @YahKiKsyou can also follow us on siteslike Twitter @YahKiKs & on our IG @YahKiKshttps://twitter.com/TheRealSurveHear this podcast on Googleplay, TuneinRadio, iTunes, Spreaker, Youtube, and iHeartradioPodcast weekly broadcast location:Rockafellas Barber Shop (Owner: Rico Rodriguez)1733 Babcock Rd.
