The show opens with a touching story of Josh's encounter with Lakers star James Worthy while Mike explains how bail bonds work. Josh brings up a story of a female teacher hooking up with a student which brings back memories of Mike's favorite high school chemistry teacher. Speaking of high school, Mike talks about being student body president, obviously the highlight of his life so far. As a Catholic school boy, Mike was obviously very repressed and lashed out with early adventures in promiscuity. Mike regales Josh with tales of being a 16 year old stick man. The Geniuses finally get into some dental stories with a review of a recent article ranking the best dental schools in the world.

The boys are back after a short hiatus to discuss Josh's recent induction as President of the San Antonio District Dental Society. Mike ends his reign quickly by asking a simple question about the President-Elect. The boys move on to discuss Amazon Dental supplies which recently opened for business. Mike reads a urologic study about correlation between number of monthly ejaculations and risk of prostate cancer. Josh confesses a little too much about his monthly habits. Mike suggests the idea of getting a prostate exam while recording for the pod. Josh then reads a letter to the editor from ADA News while Mike snipes and makes fun of the writer... a sweet old man from Josh's hometown. Both Mike and Josh admit to breaking and entering their exes but the statute of limitations has probably passed so, no harm no foul.

The geniuses are back, in black this time, mourning their 40th episode. The background noise is on point this week, as the show was recorded at a busy restaurant. Josh tells a few anecdotes about a recent visit to CVS. Do you let people go ahead of you in the check out line if you have a cartful of items and the person behind you has 1 thing? Mike has a complex decision tree and a quarterback wristband for this exact situation. Mike talks about sending back food at a restaurant and what happens behind the scenes in the kitchen. Josh brings up porn again and asks Mike about April Fools Day. Mike tells more stories and complains about flying first class. Josh then talks about what was teased at the end of last episode...his new puppy Graham. After some hot dog talk, the guys talk about "The People vs. OJ Simpson" and Josh's love of the show. Mike brings up a documentary about Panama and the 80's conflict there. Mike asks Josh about the "D'Angelo Russell/Nick Young/Iggy Azalia" controversy, and it is then and only then that we realized that this week’s podcast is literally about nothing. Enjoy!

Josh asks Mike about the "Monolithic Revolution." Josh laughs at "Tiny Impression Guy" from Mike's lecture while Mike opines about his minuscule remake rate. The guys talk about those Tasty cooking videos and how easy they make everything look.

Mike talks about his son and his recent hockey accomplishments, like scoring the game winning goal in the state championship game! Josh asks Mike if this hockey fame resulted in increased play with the ladies for his son. Mike asks Josh about a lawsuit in Texas that Josh has insider info on. The guys talk about dental supply houses and philosophies about ordering. CEREC’s competition comes up and the guys discuss the available options. Mike reads Josh an article about stress coping in dentistry and the two share their thoughts.

The boys are back after a few week hiatus! Mike and Josh catch up on where they have been over the past few weeks. Josh asks Mike about CEREC Zirconia and Mike tells us all about the newest innovation in chairside technology. Mike talks about Sirona’s footprint outside the USA and their product offerings in Europe. Josh tries to throw a bone to lab techs with a compliment that Mike promptly smites. Josh reads Mike the story about the college kid who did his own Invisalign with a 3D printer. Josh compliments the kid’s moxie but Mike thinks a little less of him. Josh asks Mike whats up with Germans…ie- why are a bunch of dental companies headquartered there? Some hot chicken talk ensues and Mike and Josh share their enthusiasm for poultry. Mike’s song choice this week is extremely not safe for work and that gives Mike and Josh a chance to discuss the great country singer Wheeler Walker, Jr.

The Geniuses have been in high demand recently and due to their hectic travel schedules and are forced to Skype it out this week thanks to Dental Hack Alan Mead and his luxurious recording set up. Josh gives Mike an update on the progression of his lecturing career and they discuss the high of having a lecture go well. Mike asks Josh about the Seattle Study Club and they discuss why Mike thinks he’s considered an outsider by those folks. The guys then discuss different lecture formats and what works well. Mike talks about what its like to get lecture evaluations from attendees. Alan Mead chimes in and the crew discusses some of the best lecturers they have ever seen. Mike tells a story about finding a mattress on the street and a discussion about the dirtiness of hotel rooms ensues. Josh reads a listener email about a gastronomic adventure in Paris.

Somehow the jewelry conversation gets to Josh asking Mike if his divorce attorney is circumcised. The guys finally arrive at their designated bathroom talk for the week and Josh tells a story of utilizing an air sickness bag to its fullest. Josh reads a story about a new Canadian policy that prohibits dentists from doing any dental work on their friends and family while Mike stands up and applauds. The guys talk about toughing out uncomfortable procedures and nitrous experiences. Mike talks about dentist and specialist income with the ADA’s newest data and a discussion about most lucrative specialties ensues.

Josh reviews his philosophies regarding third molar cases. Mike tells tale of a local oral surgeon who doesn’t give his sedation patients any local anesthesia in an attempt to reduce his pager buzzing post-op. As they guys discuss the case, Josh asks Mike about his experience in testifying as an expert witness. Dr. Walter Palmer is back in the news as Mike talks about his newest hunting shenanigans. Next the guys dive deeper into their 23andMe genetic tests. Mike reveals his famous relative. The guys discuss their health risk results and Josh finds out some pretty tough news. The good news is he has already forgotten it. This might be podcast history and is probably the most dramatic moment in AcciDental Geniuses history. After the shocker wears off, the guys review their genetic traits.

Finally, some dental talk ensues as the guys talk about veneers and the stress of different parts of the procedure. Mike gives some lab based insights about ways to succeed throughout the way. Mike breaks news about the semen-shooting North Carolina dentist who recently got relicensed in Belize. In a weird coincidence, Josh drops a David Bowie reference just a couple of weeks before his untimely death. Mike brings up a dental malpractice lawsuit and the guys discuss the ins and outs of the case. Josh asks Mike if he thinks he could do comedy for a living and they discuss the possibilities.

Josh tells Mike the story of the proposal and some wedding talk ensues. Mike talked about his holiday travel with Lindsey. Josh made it uncomfortable by asking about any intimate moments in First Class of the Emirates A380. Mike mentions his experience seeing Michelangelo’s David while Josh asks about what type of equipment David was packing' below the belt.

Dental office Christmas parties are discussed and Mike talks about childhood memories of the holidays with his large, fertile Italian family. Mike ventures off to Lululemon to do some shopping, while Josh searches for David Yurman for Andrea. Mike admits to blatantly checking out a Lululemon associate’s backside, but she was asking for it. Josh pulls out the latest issue of Dental Town which has a massive photo of a herpetic lip on the cover while Mike reviews all the publishing lingo. The boys talk about herpes etiquette and Mike recants his story of his primary herpetic gingivostomatitis.

Josh gives Mike some southern home remedy suggestions that involve alcohol. Mike opens up a Christmas gift from Care Credit and confesses to re-gifting in days of Christmas past. Josh then reviews an article out of Dental Products report as Mike cracks wise. The boys talk about the state of continuing education in dentistry. Josh confides that Mike is his mentor and then complains about how he is Mike’s protege, not mentee. Josh then accuses the 16th President of the United States as being gay because that’s what the AG Podcast is about. Mike expresses that he doesn’t care about his legacy...Josh assumes that Mike stopped changing the oil in his Subaru. Mike talks about what an ideal relationship with a lab tech is and it involves the tech giving more feedback to docs. Mike also brings up his recommendations about living a balanced life.

It’s been a tough week for Josh as he tells Mike about the recent loss of his Great Dane, Luke. It was a sad day for Josh and Andrea, but sweet Luke will always be remembered and his memory cherished. On to happier subjects...the boys discuss their love for the Thanksgiving holiday. Mike asks Josh about his thoughts on the Rudolph Christmas special and a vigorous discussion about Herme’s dentistry skills ensues. This episode features and AcciDental Geniuses Podcast first...a guest. Our friend Alan Mead of the Dental Hacks Podcast pipes up as he had been lurking in the corner acting as our recorder. Alan gives a shout out to The Off the Cusp Podcast. Josh brings up a story about a nurse anesthetist in Georgia that was sent to prison for sexually assaulting patients in a famous dental office. We know, we know…this has really been a really light hearted podcast! The guys discuss the case in depth very maturely and it ends in them making fun of the way the nurse anesthetist looks. Mike brings up a crazy dentist case and a long semen discussion occurs. The podcast wraps up with some swapping of Uber stories, because that makes a ton of sense. Back next week with in-person pod!
