Tonight we switch the tone a little and discuss Deadbeat MOMS! Ha, bet you didn't see that one coming, did you? Typically when you hear the term 'Deadbeat', it's referred to a father who doesn't handle his parental responsibilities. Well there's a flipside to that and that's what we're here to discuss. DEADBEAT MOMS! It's treated as a myth but this issue is very real and is happening way more than you think. Not every mom is that tender, love and caring Super Mom like so many of the good mothers out there are. Some are horrible mothers and it's time they get called out on it! We must eliminate the double standard created by mostly media where a picture is painted that men (typically black men) are always the ones who are lacking in parenting. What about the mom that left her child on someone's doorstep and left? How about the mom who leaves her children with the grandparents so she can play the club all weekend and spends no real quality time with the kids? How about the mothers who have their children looking dingy with raggedy clothes, worn down shoes and nappy heads while they are out having ladies night 2-3 times a week looking like video vixen: hair done, manicure, pedicure, the whole 9? What about the mothers who smoke cigarettes, weed, drink and pop pills in front of the kids (some even let the kids hit the blunt or hit the bottle). Then there are the mothers who surrender their parental duties to go run the streets or chase behind some guy like a teenaged girl. The list goes on and on and just like we covered Deadbeat Dads, it's time to discuss Deadbeat Moms. We can assure you, no punches will be held tonight. Nicki Minaj was featured on a track with Gucci called "Make Love" where Nicki seems to be throwing shots at someone who most think is Remy Ma and apparently Remy Ma also believes Nicki's subliminals were at her as well because she came back with a vicious verbal assault on Nicki Minaj titled  "Shether", where she used the classic instrumental track "Ether", one of the greatest diss tracks in Hip Hop history. Most people are saying if Nicki Minaj doesn't respond, she's gonna have to take a huge L from the Hip Hop community. That's right, 11! 11 YEAR OLDS ARE MIDDLE SCHOOLERS! This brings up tons of questions like what type of parenting is occuring at home and why these children are bold enough to take such a risk. But do you necessarily blame the parents in these types of situations? Even the best of parents can't monitor their children 24/7. So what do you do to try an prevent this happening to your 14 year old daughter? We've all been teens before and understand that once puberty hits, horomones start to sky rocket. Most adults struggle to gain self control of their actions when their horomones start raging, so is it fair to expect teenagers to act responsible when theirs rage? Does coming from a broken family play a crucial role in these outcomes? Are shows that endorse young pregnancies like "16 & Pregnant" to blame? Is there anything that can be done to help drop the rate of teen pregnancies? What if your 14 year old daughter was pregnant? Would you allow her to drop out of school and become a fulltime mom, or would you take on the added responsibility of watching and providing for the child, all while still working and whatever else you have going on in your social life, for the greater good of your daughter's education and for her to maintain a social life. Some think that a teen mom maintaining a social life with her peers is crucial in helping prevent depression and a serious meltdown. In acknowledgement of Black Histort Month, on tonight's show we'll be having a little history lesson on "Black Wall Street", its rise, its fall, and where blacks economically stand today as a result. For those who don't know, Black Wall Street originated in Tulsa, Oklahoma; a town you may have heard of for reasons unrelated to Black Wall Street. A lot of us may have heard of the term "Black Wall Street" but lack knowledge of its history, identity and place in African American history and there's no better time to have this discussion than in Black History Month. "Oklahoma became an official U.S. State in 1907. During the early 20th century, Oklahoma was a state in which many blacks took refuge as it posed a more promising and habbital life style for blacks. After starting their own community (originally known as "Little Africa" later named "Greenwood" and eventually known as "Negro Wall Street" later to be named "Black Wall Street"), blacks started to expand their community and economy by building more thriving businesses. Blacks were faced with racial segregation laws that prevented them from shopping anywhere other than Greenwood, which ultimately played to their advantage as their money continued to circulate within their own community. Blacks were literally creating their own economy. In the early 20th century, there was an attempt to make Oklahoma the "First Black State" which was significant in attracting blacks to migrate there. Blacks were thriving until racial tesions lead to one of the greatest tragedies in United States history. Lead by the alleged assault of a young black 19 year old shoe shiner, Dick Rowland, on Sarah Page, a 17 year old white young lady, arguably the biggest race riot in U.S. history broke out, causing millions of dollars in damages and an esitmated death total of 300 blacks. Things have really hit the fan now! Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, has recently placed a travel ban on Muslims from 7 different majority Muslim countries from entering the United States and the public is outraged! Why is the public outraged? Because the 7 countries with the ban don't have a history of producing terrorist who have attacked the United States on United States soil. These countries include Libya, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Yemen and Somalia. This ban bars citizens from these countries from entering the United States for the next 90 days and suspends the admission of all refugees for 120 days. Since the announcement, there have been huge groups of Americans (Muslim and non-Muslim) pouring out into the streets to protest. Even celebrities have been speaking out about this move from the Trump administration. Needless to say, the majority of Americans aren't too happy about this and most are ready to be heard and are expecting an overturn on the ban. The U.S. Courts have now gotten involved and we've even seen senators, mayors and other big-time politics from different cities and states throughout the U.S. publicly speak out about what most perceive to be a biased and prejudice move from the Trump Administration. The United States Constitution makes it illegal for anyone including the president to single out a group of people based on race, ethnicity or religious beliefs as long as those beliefs don't compromise the safety and wellbeing of the United States and its citizens. However, there have been talks of loopholes in the constitution for the president as we all know not everything that applies to the rest of the country applies to the President. On Friday, January 20th, Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 45th President of the United States Of America. After running one of the most controversial campaigns in United States history and even losing the Popular Vote by an estimated 2 Million Voters to what would've been the first female President in Hillary Clinton, Donald J. With the 2017 NFL Playoffs down to 2 teams, it's time for us to have a review on the entire 2016 NFL Season including the 2017 Playoffs and of course make Superbowl LI predictions. The 2016 like most NFL Seasons was no disappointment, the 2017 Playoffs on the otherhand were for those of us who like competitive, wire to wire games. Most of the games in the 2017 Playoffs ended in dominate fashion if not blowouts. So why is that? Why couldn't America's beloved Cowboys get pass a banged up, under-matched Packers team? Here's an even better one. Why hasn't anyone figured out the Brady/Bellichick formula? The New England Patriots are headed to their 7th Superbowl under the Belichick/Brady era and an NFL Record 9th Superbowl appearance overall. The 2016 Patriots finished their season with the best record in football and were on the upside of 2 blowout performances to go to yet another Superbowl and the high powered Falcons offense picked apart the Packers secondary putting up a 40 burger and sending that 'Bad Man' Aaron Rogers and his compadres home packing. This has been a bizarre NFL Playoffs in 2017 and only time will tell what Superbowl LI beholds but let's just keep our fingers crossed for a great game that will come down to the last quarter with 2 minutes to go!
