 Episode 376: A Lying Witch and a Warden | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:02

GC13, Soren, and David discuss A Lying Witch and a Warden from The Owl House. Yes, The Owl House has finally come to the Lunar Sea Spire podcast. This is the first GC13 has ever seen of The Owl House, but David and Soren are quite familiar with the series. So come with us into this magical world. Stay out of the conformatorium (do you guys get it? It’s like her summer camp!) but otherwise, make sure you have fun! Being weird rocks.

Episode 375: Pepper and the Fog | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:01

GC13 and David discuss Pepper and the Fog, the (very bizarre) finish to the fourth season of Summer Camp Island. Yeah, did you understand any of that? There’s a lot to unpack. Pepper and the Fog doesn’t just feature a new voice actor for Pepper, it features a new outlook too. Now he really likes Susie, and wants to read a poem to her. When did all of that happen? At least we got to hear Aimee Mann and Keith David; it’s nice to hear some familiar voices.

 Episode 374: BITT Prime | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:17

GC13 and David discuss BITT Prime from Glitch Techs, the last episode of the second season (and probably the series). We’re sad to see Glitch Techs go, but we’ve heard the story over and over again—this sort of thing happens a lot, and it hurts when it happens to such an ambitious and well-received show. We can hope for Glitch Techs: Enter the Florpus to happen in fifteen years though, but unfortunately it’s too late for Glitch Techs: Endless Summer.

 Episode 373: Hall of Mooms | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:10

GC13 and David discuss Hall of Mooms from Summer Camp Island. This episode told us so much, but it was great seeing all of the witches in Hedgehog’s ancestry (and one very mysterious ancestor you may or may not have seen!). It even told us that, at one time, there were witch hunters! Still, Summer Camp Island isn’t the kind of show to put our characters into mortal danger from witch hunters. It will be interesting if they even come up at all in the future—as will plenty of Hedgehog’s mooms!

 Episode 372: I'm Mitch Williams | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:35

GC13 and David discuss I’m Mitch Williams from Glitch Techs. And now you know why Mitch is the sweetest. It turns out that the true meaning of friendship was the teammates we recruited along the way. And Tech Specialist. Don’t forget him. It’s the end to Mitch’s season two character arc, but we still have one episode to go so the season (and unfortunately it looks like the series as well) can end on a cliffhanger.

Episode 371: Hark the Gerald Sings | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:22

GC13 and David discuss Hark the Gerald Sings from Summer Camp Island. We may have lost fairies from Summer Camp Island’s pantheon of magical creatures this season, but we’ve been given a new one: superstitions! Betsy gets her chance to shine by revealing to us Gerald, the unpleasant mirror life holds up to Oscar. Just make sure this episode doesn’t make you remember Summer Camp Island episodes that never happened. That’s been going around lately…

 Episode 370: Settling the Score | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:17

GC13 and David discuss Settling the Score from Glitch Techs. Brad Breeck’s music is mighty, and this episode is a pleasure to watch just for “Rock ’em, Sock ’em” and “Kaiju Baby” alone. But this episode has more than just music: it has heart. Miko’s backstory, previously established in Ralphie Bear is Back, comes back into play as we meet the impressive Mike Simms, a kid who just like Phil manages to make friends wherever he goes. First Ridley, and now Miko: he’s a popular guy.

Episode 369: He's Just Not Here Right Now | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:57

GC13 and David discuss He’s Just Not Here Right Now from Summer Camp Island. This is the debut (maybe?) of the Jersey Devil, a very good hider who serves as the boogeyman of the pine barrens and an eater of sandwiches. It’s also a flashback to Oscar and Hedgehog in their younger days, back when Oscar was a sack of potatoes. (Yeah, maybe not the best nickname…) Thankfully conservation wins out over development and the Jersey Devil will continue to have some barrens to haunt. Just… Don’t ask about Susie’s old spa…

Episode 368: The Real Glitch Techs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:25

GC13 and David discuss The Real Glitch Techs. Yep, it’s from Glitch Techs. We get introduced to a whole new squad from another town. It’s kind of a shame that we won’t get to see much of them in the future, actually… Still, new tech store, new techs, new boss (with a very, very expensive voice actress), and even some secret sauce! But the most important thing is that in the end the slimes were able to be together. Unfortunately they had to be killed for the murder of Pancake McGuffin.

Episode 367: Shave A Little Off the Wheel | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:03

GC13 and David discuss Shave A Little Off the Wheel from Summer Camp Island, another very different-feeling episode of the series. Cookiesmell the mouse goes on an annual adventure for a ridiculously small amount of cheese, but this year he makes a friend: a snowflake named Snowflake. We can’t be certain that Snowflake will return to the ground some day, but one thing we know for sure is that she was a welcome addition to the episode. So enjoy, and never fear: no one’s getting the textbook Slice and Dice around here (or in the mess hall for that matter).

 Episode 366: Wizard City | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:37

GC13 and David discuss Wizard City, the fourth and final episode of the Adventure Time: Distant Lands miniseries. It’s over, isn’t it? Well technically it was over after Together Again if you consider the timeline, but Wizard City was the last to air. This is a very different Peppermint Butler from the one we knew, but we know he gets his power back in the end. As for Wizard City? Well that’s a wild place. We don’t know why they hate Peppermint Butler so much, we just know that Cadebra is probably the most supportive friend in media right now.

 Episode 365: Find the Glitch | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:35

GC13 and David discuss Find the Glitch from Glitch Techs. It’s finally happened: YouTube Poop culture has seeped into Glitch Techs and taken over, at least for one episode. Do all of the crazy edits you want, just so long as we don’t need to animate much new stuff. Mitch raised a lot of good points about Miko though, as did Five. And Safety Inspector Seven? Well, she raised some good points about herself. We can only hope that season three sees the light of day some day…

 Episode 364: Tomorrow's Bananas | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:34

GC13 and David discuss Tomorrow’s Bananas from Summer Camp Island, a double-meaning of an episode title if we’ve ever heard one. And tomorrow IS bananas, especially when you’re using bananas to shape it. Sounds like a certain rubber piggy-centric episode of another cartoon, doesn’t it? Susie is quite the uplifting mentor when she wants to be, and even if he’s a good boy Oscar can also show that side of himself AND some backbone if he has to. Oh, and Wallace Shawn? This episode has him too.

 Episode 363: The New Recruit | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:30

GC13 and David discuss The New Recruit from Glitch Techs. The triumphant return of everyone’s favorite glitch modder, Ridley, is only slightly tempered by the mass destruction she manages to cause. Besides, she’s able to put Mitch in his place—his respect sure isn’t easy to earn. It’s sad to know that Ridley’s second appearance is her last (in the finished episodes, anyway), but she’s been an amazing character. Not the best at the whole friendship thing, but you want to root for her anyway.

 Episode 362: Jeremiah | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:33

GC13 and David discuss Jeremiah from Summer Camp Island. Oscar, the camper with the most telepathically intrudable mind, just so happened to stumble on one of Susie’s magical artifacts that preys on weakness. What are the odds? Yep, Susie probably should have brought in Hedgehog for this one. All’s well that ends well though. Do you think we’ll see Jeremiah again, or do you think his story is done? I think we can all agree though, it’s a good thing he didn’t scream at anyone.
