Don’t be timid with your message - there are people that need your expertise. This week we are talking with Elizabeth who speaks about the ‘sandwich generation’ which today is 45% of 35-55 year olds who are caring for their own children and a parent that has chronic health issues. Feeling overwhelmed and stressed with the load of taking care of her mother and children she went searching online for a community or books with resources of how to cope and find balance in her life. She has created an 8 week action plan to help guide other caregivers in finding balance in their lives. We help her find ways to give her members ‘quick wins’ and automate that content so as soon as she gets a new subscriber they are receiving the next step. Engagement in your membership is not dictated just by the forum as there will be members who will be satisfied with the content you are providing and being a part of your online community. Be aware with incentives that with the more things you expect your audience to do for example share it on Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. the better the prize/reward needs to be. She has made money by selling printable PDFs on Etsy and working with people in person. Christina has decided to change her lifestyle by making organizing and decluttering courses for individuals online. We discuss how every opportunity in your business doesn’t mean it is the best one. Sometimes even in business, you have to let go of things so you can see larger gain and progress with something else. We strategize with Christina ways in which she can use her product to start promoting and selling the 100 page ebook she has already created. After narrowing down her target avatar, Christina is going to maximize the Flip Your Life Community by asking other members (who are also entrepreneurs) how they would want the content to be delivered. With determination to figure out how to increase their reading levels, she began private tutoring. Coming from a place of printing, cutting and shipping all of her products herself - Shonda switched to selling digital products online only. She provided templates to online companies who would then take care of the rest for her. It’s not always good to have all of your eggs in one basket when someone else is controlling that basket. If the basket is taken away a lot of your business can change. We help her find direction on her product and avatar. Using our own family as an example as to why we printed digital prints online for our children, we are able to explain to Shonda who her avatar could be. Shonda: Just give you some personal background. I lived in the near the Richmond Virginia area.

Each week we are bringing a Flip Your Life Member onto the podcast, helping them work through whatever challenges they may be having with their online businesses. Today we have Flip Your Life member, Anthea. Anthea wanted to relieve the pressure on her husband of bringing in all of their income while she stays at home, homeschooling their three kids. She began a blog using her Masters Degree in Creative Writing for a website called Overcoming School. Realizing that blogging wasn’t bringing in money, she joined our community to figure out how to create a product that people would want to be a part of. Anthea wanted to create a community of parents where they can be trained and learn how to start homeschooling. Today Kevin goes through a consult that our intensive mastermind members go through -- helping him determine who his online avatar is and discovering what he wants out of his online business. She has been able to not only make money online, but provide valuable researched based information that any parent can understand. As a clinical researcher and teacher, she is able to translate research material to improve childbirth for women around the world. Rebecca has already done well with the product launch model and wants to transition to a recurring membership based business. 60% of her audience are professionals wanting to have access to continuing education to her most popular product. Considering this, we discuss strategies she can use for her content. Since launching a membership site just four months ago, Rebecca has gained 180+ members. Marianna moved from Venezuela at 13 with her family eager to learn English. Unfortunately, the school district they moved into didn’t have a great ESOL program, so she spent most of 6th, 7th and 8th grade watching movies and being taught in Spanish instead of learning English. Fortunately, she had great teachers in High School. This made her excel even pursue other languages in her college career. Instead of pursuing her intended path to take law, she went on to teach English and instill the things she would have wanted for herself as a young English learner to her students.
