From  old San Diego Club where I first met Richard I developed a friendship with him that lasted until his early death.Richard had his unique handlebar moustache that was his trademark. KC Nathan and Gene were supposed to have arrive here at 9:58 PM but the Southwest Chief ended up being over 4.5hours late. So the Amazing Chris had to do the show from a nice cool Pullman Suite on a hot day outside.

SP 4449 Portland to Tacoma started the converntion then a trip to Northwest Railway Museum and train ride. Bob, Elizabeth and Chris then went to the Cascade Tunnel then up into Canada to the Burnaby Central RR then back to the convention for the SP 4449 trip over Stampede Pass and then the SP 4449 return to Portland then a visit to the Oregon Electric Railway Museum.
