Welding Tips and Tricks Podcast

For this episode we talk all about Plasma Tables and also, asked ZTFab Paul Brinegar to give us a few pointers into what to look for and some tips to improving your cut quality.  Just like with everything else there a lot more to just buying a table and you're off to the running.  If you're in the market for your first table or trying to improve the one you have be sure to get out some paper and pens to take notes!  It will be worth it!  Enjoy.

For this topic episode we talked about some of the key steps you should do to pass an aluminum certification weld test.  Mostly focused towards the D17.1 tests.  Aluminum is notorious for being a pain to get to pass x-ray with porosity issues and a few other common indications.  If you're future holds a test like this in it you'll want to take some notes!  Have a great week.  Enjoy!

For this episode we thought it would be fun to talk about the Dreaded Spool Gun.  Roy has been working on a job for Jonathan for the past few weeks that has been nothing but Spool Gun Aluminium, so we thought the timing would be good to talk about our experiences we have with them.  What has worked and what has not.  They're not the most ideal way of welding aluminum but they really do get the job done and if you pay attention to the small details they're really not all bad.  Enjoy!

For this weeks topic we thought it would be fun to chat about a few of the different kinds of Super Alloys there are out there, that we know of, and how you can take the techniques welding them and apply them to more standard materials.  We hope that this episode will spark an interest in you to go do some research of your own on some different materials.  Never know when that extra information will be very handy!   

For this episode we talk all about Hardfacing.  Because the three of us have very little experience with this process we reached out to Aaron Morgan from @Industrial_Ironworks to weigh in on this subject.  If you're thinking of getting into this type of work you'll really want to take some really good notes from this episode!  Aaron shared an amazing amount of information!
