Each week Swoop, Peter and the crew tap into the So Cal lifestyle with interviews of the unique personalities making news. Guests have included politicians and community activists, independent filmmakers and Academy-award winning actress Yancy Butler, rock and roll icon Grace Slick and emerging indie musicians, authors, artists, Olympic athletes and more. The topics are as varied as the guest list, but the goal is always the same — to keep the conversation entertaining and the debates insightful.

On Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 8pm/PST (11pm/EST) we are happy to welcome musician Pete Marchica to Swoop’s World Late Night. Pete will be in studio to give us a chance to learn about his music and some of the other cool things he does, like helping to organize The Second Annual Rose Park Bluegrass Festival. After our interview with Pete, we’ll have our Brewskis beer tasting segment followed by our take on all topics, as well as any interesting news of the day. Listen to the show Second Annual Rose Park Bluegrass Festival The Second Annual Rose Park Bluegrass Festival will once again bring all-American music, activities, food, and summer fun to the iconic Long Beach neighborhood on Sunday, August 19th from 12 until 5pm. The free festival, to be held in the roundabout park at East Eighth St. and Orizaba, will feature Bluegrass music acts, and variety entertainment on stage, great food from Long Beach’s best eateries, and all ages activities throughout the park that are sure to amuse you and yours. In keeping with tradition…. Four special Rose Park residents will be recognized on stage during the awarding of the “Distinguished Roses” designation. Go to www.RPNA.org to nominate someone you know. This neighborhood event is a collaboration between GDH Events Inc. and the Rose Park Neighborhood Association, with support from The Office of Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal, The Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Long Beach office of Special Events and Filming.
