I had some tough back to back training weeks and achieved a new weekly mileage total as a result (60 miles). My Mississippi Trail 50 prep is going well and I'm pleased with my progress. But there is always something that can go wrong and my recent 26 mile training run had a few kinks. Thanks for listening to the podcast! I'm at the point in my training for my upcoming 50 miler where I need to put down at least 50 miles a week. It takes a lot of drive and motivation to do that week after week. I DNF'd at the Willis River 50k [Fat Ass] event on January 10 in Cumberland, Virginia. I have a slew of excuses! Not all was lost though. Is there really any purpose for glitter? This show lightly explores the topic of glitter with a little humor thrown in. Two guests stop in to share their opinions. I had a fun time running the Richmond Half Marathon. If you've listened to the show then you know I wussed out and bagged running the full marathon because I had a hard time training in Virginia summer humidity.
