Starting Something New In The World of Warcraft | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:32

Hey there, hope everyone is having what amounts to an outstandingday today. Rewt here, for HearthCast.com - where your hearth hasa home...Ya know, it's never too late to start something - especially in WoW.I made it to 80 a fishing skill somewhere around the 70's, and...get this... no first aid what-so-ever. None. ZERO. Now, one thing to remember is I'm a warlock. I get a healthstoneat level 10, Drain Life at level 14, and Siphon Life at 30... thereare many other talents and spec based spells that also have healthbenefits - like Affliction's Haunt that you get at 80... so, really,First aid was something I never missed...While I know that's nothing to brag about (I can hear the criesof "noob" already!), I can say that at 80, the fishing and first aid quests are no sweat what-so-ever, and leveling up just takes some gold and time... and right now, I've got both of those. We've got an exciting show planned for this, and every Tuesday. It's our full length podcast with Freckleface and myself right here at HearthCast.com

 Party Planning! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:54

We spend a lot of time fighting dragons, fighting Scourge, and escorting folks to safety. But sometimes, its good to forget about that, empty your bags of all that coagulated slime, and have a drink with your friends. Its time for a party! Getting Dressed:Women: Check the auction house or your local tailor for a nice dress. If you'd rather just buy something off the rack, visit Geenia Sunshadow in Moonglade for some lovely styles. Men: Tailors also make tuxedoes for men- but don't forget about footwear. Too many guys show up with bright blue boots or bare feet with their tux. If need be, buy some Dress Shoes or cheap Calico Shoes. For less formal occasions, a nice shirt and your regular pants make a rugged but handsome look.Location:Before picking a location, decide how exclusive you want your party to be. The cities are great for attracting lots of people, but expect some indecent behavior. (I once went to a wedding where a crasher slapped the bride!) And if it is a contested zone, beware of enemies. Bloodshed is generally a party downer, so try to avoid it all costs. Some of my favorite spots include the Beer Garden in Dalaran and any of the floating islands in Nagrand. Or you can join an ongoing party at Saltheril's Haven in Eversong Woods.Food:Next you want to plan for food and drink. If you or one of you friends owns Brewfest Pony Keg, it will allow anyone in the area to drink as much as they can handle. Otherwise, alcohol can always be purchased from vendors. For refreshments, consider having a chef cook a feast, or purchasing a Lovely Cake from Aimee in Dalaran.Activities:Up to you! Make sure you take screenshots, and send them in to  us here at hearthcast.comEnjoy your party, and Rewt and I will see you on Tuesday!

 Here's a couple great Auction House Tips | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:32

Hey there, Rewt here from HearthCast.com bringing you another quick installment of our "Gimme A Minute" segments here on HearthCast.comThere are two tricks I like to use in the auction house on a routine basis. Both involve "short-stacks", or a number of an item that's not a full stack - like 20.The first trick involves a little math - but it's easy.If you see a number of "short-stack" items that total to be a full stack, add up their buyout prices. If the total of the "short-stacks" is less than the price of a full stack (including AH fees), then buy them, make a stack, and relist them immediately. Instant profit for just doing a little math! The second trick also involves a little math. There's a time and place when it's best for you to "short-stack" on purpose, and make some extra gold in the process. For example, if a stack of 20 goblin doohikies sells for 10 gold, make two stacks - 8 and 12, or 10/10... then list each stack for an amount that will add up to more than 10 gold - like 5 and 7 gold, or 6 and 6. The big secret to making gold by "short-stacking" is knowing WHEN to do it. That's a secret I'll share for another day.Hey, thanks for listening, and don't forget to check Freckleface and myself out on Tuesday for our full length podcast. Until next time, this has been Rewt from HearthCast.com - see ya!

 W00tness! Rewt hits 80!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:33

Hey hey .. Rewt here from HearthCast.com... well.. ok, I should say,Level 80 Gnome Warlock Rewt here, from HearthCast.com!Yep. I dinged 80 today.... and got some mail from Blizzard... Freckleface was kind enough to pop her portable mailbox out (which has an 8 hourcool down) so I could get my mail, and of course, send stuff off to my bank-alt. Nice mana, health and haste potions from Blizzard along with a congratulatory note.I headed off to Ironforge to go get my new spells - 158 gold worth of spells. Then I headed on over to Hellfire to see if anyone was around... and ya know what? It's a ghost town. I saw one other player while I was there... I ended up just flying around and doing some mining. Anyhow... I was grateful that Freckleface let me use the portable mailbox, even though she knew I was heading into train... it was very convenient, and did prove useful. If you'd like to be part of a show, have us answer questions, or discuss anything, feel free to drop us an email. Thanks for listening, and check us out on Tuesday for our full length podcast.

Welcome to Tinkertown! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:17

In Tuesday's podcast we talked about engineering as a useful profession for hunters, but in my opinion its the best in the game! Let me tell you about a few things engineers can doEnhance combat:Throw a bomb for that does an aoe stun effect, or siege damage in WintergraspToss down a target dummy which will take aggro away from youMake gear:Guns, and cloth, leather, and mail items. as well as bullets, arrowsMake lots of fun things like a mechanical squirrel, a pet yeti, a motorcycle to ride in and a helicopter to fly... and use a parachute cloak for a long fallPull materials out of the air:Did you know there are lots of crystallized fire, air, and water from the vapors of Northrend? (And motes of the same in Outland?) A skilled engineer can use their head piece or belt to spot these nodes and a Zapthrottle Mote Extractor to pull the materials out of the air!Lastly, an engineer is a great asset to have in a group because they can put down a portable mailbox, a portable repair/sell vendor, and can raise the dead.So from Freckleface, your master tinkerer I hope you'll tune in for more Warcraft tips from Rewt and me here at hearthcast.com!

 I see you, but can't find you! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:21

Hey there, Rewt from hearthcast.com here bringing you another tidbit of information. Something Blizzard has introduced with Wrath is called "Phasing Technology".The short of it is that the world you personally experience differs based on the quests you've personally completed. So, while a NPC may be visible to you, they may not be visible to someone else who has either completed a quest - some of the NPC's move after a quest is completed - or hasn't begun that quest. In fact, whole areas can change from hostile to friendly based on the completion of a quest chain! All the technical ooh's and ahh's aside, this has brought up some issues when you're questing with friends or guildmates. They may not be able to help you, or you them, based on quests that either of you have done, or haven't done. In other words, if you're going to be questing with friends and guildmates, try to make sure you're at the same stage of quest chains. It should go easier that way.Hey, as always, be sure to tune in this Tuesday for our full length podcast, where Freckleface and I share all sorts of information about the game, and have loads of fun doing so. Until next time, thanks for listening to hearthcast.com

 Ding 79! Gimme a minute... | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:33

It was an early morning for Rewt this morning. I woke up around 4am,and decided that since I couldn't sleep, might as well play some WoW.My toon is parked over in Sholazar, and I had left him in the middle of working on Nessingway's Quest line.By the way, when you make the Kungaloosh drink - Kungaloosh was a term used at a Disney Night Club on Pleasure Island called "The Adventureres Club". It was a greeting - kind of like, "Well met!". Yourstruely used to work at the Adventureres Club as a bouncer and bartender.Anyhow, I jumped back on and knocked out the rest of the quests I hadlined up.Along the way I picked up "The Snows of Northrend" Achievement, and then dinged 79!I'm just into 79 now, and picked up the "Explore Sholazar Basin"Achievement, and am about to do some wicked quest called Reclamation that looks quite daunting.Freckleface and I have quite a show lined up for this Tuesday. Hope you can tune into us here at HearthCast.com and check it out.

Gold Making Strategy - In Just a Minute | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:13

Hey all, it's Rewt here from HearthCast.com with a quick tip on how to make easy gold.First off, make a bank-only character. These are known as "bank alts". They never leave the comfort of a major city with a bank, mail box, and auction house all close together.99% of any "gold making strategies" revolve around the "buy low sell high"principle.  The gold making tips I'll be sharing with you from time to time will have something to do with that too, but not all the time - in fact, this one has nothing to do with buying anything.Your bank alt, while never leaving the comfort of the major city, will, and should, leave your guild. Now, before you go all flame crazy on me, there's a valid reason for that. Once out of your guild, the time you spend logged into your bank toon, you also spend hanging out in the recruitment channel. People will pay 10-20 gold for someone to sign a guild charter! All you have to do is hangout and wait for other people who are looking for people to sign their guild charter. 10-20 gold for doing what amounts to nothing. For more gold making tips, tune in each and every tuesday when Freckleface and I publish our full length podcast at HearthCast.com.

The Westfall Chicken Quest (Just a Minute) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:20

Hey Freckleface here, and I wanted to tell you about a very easy questthat gives you your own non-combat pet, the Westfall chicken. Head over to the Saldean's farm in northeastern Westfall, where thereare some chickens grazing.Using a macro, target one  and spam the emote /chicken. After about 30 seconds, two things happen: 1. The target name changes from yellow to green, and you get a message that says the chicken is looking at you quizzically, and you should inspect it. 2. When you right click on the chicken it will give you a level 1 questcalled "cluck". To do the quest, buy some feed from the farmer and cheer at the chicken before giving the feed to it. At completion, the chicken will lay an egg that you can click on tocollect. Then click on the new item from your inventory to learn howto summon it. Now remember you have to do the quest immediatly after starting, or youwill have a dead chicken on your feet when you try to turn it in. And although the quest is repeatable, the egg is BOP. Enjoy your pet, and don't forget to tune in this Tuesday with Rewt and myself for our full episode of HearthCast.

Actions In Disquises (Just a Minute) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07

Hey all... Rewt here form hearthcast.com with another installment ofJust a Minute! One of the things I've liked about Wrath has been the costumes we'vebeen given by Blizzard to wear for particular quests. A lot of peopleseem forget that when they're disquised they can try different emotes,or commands like dancing, sleeping, or just running and jumping... sometimes the actions are there, sometimes they're not, butif they are there, they can be downright funny. Just check out thevideo along with this post and you'll see what I mean.If you've got some funny video clips wearing different disquises, send them into us via our email. Be sure toinclude your toon name, level, server and guildname so we can give you a proper shout out.Don't forget to check us out This coming Tuesday for our full lengthpodcast with Freckleface and myself here at hearthcast.com
