Don't forget to stop by HindiPod101.com for more great Hindi Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Formal ---- चित्तोड़गढ़ क़िला जब जब साम्राज्यवादी लोभियों ने आक्रमण किया तब तब राजपूत वीर जवानों ने अपनी जान की परवाह किए बगैर धरती माँ और प्रजा की रक्षा की। 'चित्तोड़ क़िला' भी ऐसे ही राजपूत जवानों का मूक गवाह है। यह क़िला सदियों से राजस्थान के इतिहास मे गौरवशाली रहा है। चित्तोड़ का क़िला राजपूत वीरता का प्रतीक है। यह एशिया मे सबसे बड़ा क़िला है क्योकि इसमे राजा अपनी प्रजा, पूरी जनता एवं सैनिकों के साथ रहते थे। पर आज आधुनिक शहर पहाड़ी की दूसरी ओर बसा हुआ है। यह मेवाड़ के सिसोदिया शासको की राजधानी था। यह 692 एकड़ की ज़मीन तक फैला हुआ है और 180 मीटर की ऊँची पहाड़ी पर स्थित है जिसमे सात शानदार दरवाजे हैं जो इसकी खूबसूरती को और बढ़ा देते हैं। यहा की दीवार टेढ़ी टेढ़ी आकार की बनी हुई है और घुमावदार रास्ता यात्रियों को बहुत पसंद आता है। क़िले मे कई शानदार स्मारक चिन्ह हैं जो राजपूत वास्तुकला का अच्छा उदाहरण हैं। बजाए किसी को सौपने से उन 30000 वीरांगनाओ और रानी पदमिनी ने स्वयं को आग की जलती चिता मे कूद कर बलिदान दे दिया। और सिद्ध कर दिया सम्मान हमेशा मौत से भी अधिक महत्वपूर्ण होता है। इस सर्वोच्च बलिदान को 'जौहर' कहा जाता है। इस शहर का इतिहास और बलिदान रक्त से लिखा गया है। इस घटना स्थल को देखने दुनिया के हर कोने से पर्यटक दूर दूर से आते हैं। क़िले मे कई दर्शनीय स्थल हैं जेसे राणा कुंभा महल, फ़तेह प्रकाश महल, गौमुख कुंड, पद्मिनी पैलेस एवं जय स्तंभ। राजपूत शासक, राणा कुम्भा ने जय स्तंभ का निर्माण अपनी जीत की मुहर के तौर पर कराया। यह 37 मीटर ऊँची इमारत है और इस 9 मंजिला इमारत मे 157 संकरी सीढियां हैं जो इसके छत तक पहुँचाती हैं। इस स्तंभ का बाहरी भाग मूर्तियों से सजाया गया है। वहाँ की खिड़कियों से पूरे शहर का विहंगम द्रश्य दिखाई देता है जो सभी को बड़ा ही मनमोहक लगता है। अर्थात् यह क़िला साहस, वीरता, त्याग-बलिदान, शौर्य ओर राजपूत शहादत का प्रतिनिधित्व है। ----Formal English---- Chittorgarh Fort Whenever the imperial hackers attacked the Rajput warriors, regardless of their lives, they protected the motherland and even the public. Chittorgarh Castle is a silent witness of these Rajput warriors. This castle has been glorious in the history of Rajasthan for centuries. Chittorgarh Castle is an epitome of Rajput chivalry. This is the biggest castle in Asia because the king with his people, the entire public, and his soldiers lived together in the castle. But today, the modern city is located on the other side of the hill. It was the capital of Sisodia, rulers of Mewar. It extends up to 692 acres of land and is situated on a hill of 180 meters height. It consists of seven majestic gates which enhance its beauty more. The structure of the wall is in a zigzag shape and its spiral path is liked very much by travelers. It has many magnificent monuments in the castle which are a good example of Rajput architecture. Instead of submitting to anybody, the Queen Padmini and 30,000 women and children sacrificed themselves by jumping in a fire of burning pyre and proved that respect is always more important than death. This supreme sacrifice is called as Jauhar. The history of this city has been written in blood and sacrifice. Tourists come to look at this tragedy from every corner of the world There are many places to see in the castle like Rana Kumbha Palace, Fateh Prakash Palace, Gaumukh Reservoir, Padmini Palace, and Jai Stambh. Rajput ruler, Rana Kumbha, built the Jai Stambh ("Tower of Victory") as a seal of his victory and success. This tower is 37 meters high and consists of 157 narrow stairs in the nine story building, which reaches to its top. The outer part of this tower is decorated with sculptures. From the windows of the tower one can have a spectacular view of the whole city, which looks adorable to all.
