Don't forget to stop by HindiPod101.com for more great Hindi Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Formal ---- स्वर्ण मंदिर पंजाब प्राकृतिक सुंदरता से ओद-प्रोत है और यहाँ का स्वर्ण मंदिर अमृतसर मे स्थित है जो बड़ा ही लुभावना और अनुपम है। हर साल हज़ारो की तादाद मे पर्यटक पूरे विश्व से इस धार्मिक एवं पवित्र मंदिर के दर्शन करने आते हैं और ऐसा कहा जाता है की यहा माँगने से हर मुराद पूरी होती है। स्वर्ण मंदिर सिक्खो का अति विशाल एवं महत्वपूर्ण गुरुद्वारा है। यह केवल सिक्ख यात्रियों के लिए पवित्र स्थान नही है अपितु हिंदुओं का पवित्र मन्दिर भी है। इस भव्य मंदिर मे सिक्खो की पवित्र पुस्तक 'गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब' स्थापित है। यह सुंदर मंदिर अमृत का तैलाब कहलाए जाने वाले सरोवर के बीचो बीच स्थित है। इसके चार मुख्य द्वार हैं जो उत्तर, दक्षिण, पूरब, पश्चिम चारो दिशा से खुलते हैं और यह सभी लोगो को आकर्षित करता है भले ही वो दूसरी जाती या धर्म का हो। स्वर्ण मंदिर की सुंदरता का वर्णन अतुलनीय है। इस मंदिर का निचला आधा भाग संगमरमर से और उपरी आधा भाग सोने की परत से सजाया गया है जिस पर बारीक बारीक नक्काशी की गयी है। रात की रोशनी मे जगमगाते हुए स्वर्ण मंदिर की छवि जब झील मे झिलमिलाते हुए दिखाई देती है, तो प्रतीत होता है की स्वर्ग धरती पर उतर आया हो। वही उसका गोल गुम्बज कमल की पंखुड़ी के आकार का होता है जो सबको पवित्रता और शांति की ओर संकेत करता है। यह गुम्बज इतना सुंदर लगता है मानो स्वयं स्वर्ण मुकुट पहना दिया हो। और इसकी छोटी छोटी मीनारे स्वर्ण जड़ित सराहनीय हैं। इस विहंगम दॄश्य को देखने के लिए दूर दूर से श्रद्धालु आते हैं और अपना शीष झुकाते हैं। यह स्वर्ण मंदिर कई बार नष्ट हो चुका है। फिर भी सिक्खो ने हार नही मानी और अपने दॄढ संकल्प, श्रम और मजबूत इच्छा शक्ति से इसे दोबारा खड़ा कर दिया। अर्थात् यह मंदिर सिक्ख धर्म वाले भक्तों के लिए दुनिया का एक परी महल है। ----Formal English---- The Golden Temple Punjab is a land of natural beauty and its Golden Temple is situated in Amritsar, which is very attractive and unique. Every year thousands of tourists from all over the world come to see this religious and sacred temple and it is believed that every wish is fulfilled here. The Golden Temple is stupendous and a significant gurudwara ("place of worship") of the Sikhs. It is not only a sacred place for Sikh pilgrims but also a sacred temple for Hindus. The holy book of Sikh gurus, called the Guru Granth Sahib, is installed in this magnificent temple. This beautiful shrine is found in the center of a pool called the "Pool of Nectar." It has four main gates which open in all four directions i.e. east, west, north and south, and it attracts all people regardless of different caste or religion. This beauty of the Golden Temple is very unique. The bottom half of the temple is decorated with marble and the upper half is decorated with gold plates in which minute carvings were done, which look very fine. In the night light, when the image of the bright Golden Temple is shimmering on the lake, it appears like heaven has come to earth. Its round gumbaj(dome) is in the shape of the lotus petal, which indicates peace and purity to all. This dome looks so beautiful that it might have worn a golden crown on her own. Its small minarets studded with gold are commendable. The reverent pupil comes from far away distances to see this spectacular scene and wishes to pay obeisance to this temple. This Golden Temple has been destroyed many times. But Sikh people were not defeated and by their determination, labor, and strong willpower, they made it stand again.
