RFC News Desk 092 – San Diego Comic Con Has Been Cancelled | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:40

Comic-Con International released a statement today with sad, but not unexpected news. Despite initial optimism that the situation with COVID-19 would have been improved by this summer, Comic-Con International, the organizers of San Diego Comic Con and other events, announced today that SDCC 2020 was officially cancelled. SDCC is now scheduled to return on July 22nd, 2021. Although the specific formats will absolutely be different, this will probably change little about the product reveals we'll receive this summer, with Hasbro being likely to adapt their planned product debuts to alternate channels. SDCC exclusives even still have a good chance of happening, though of course only as online exclusives on Hasbro Pulse. The direct impact to the Transformers community may be relatively small as a result of this, but it will undoubtedly have a greater effect in other areas. As of now, we can only hope that it will be safe for New York Comic Con to proceed as planned. Thanks to all of our Patrons who are making this possible!  RFC News Desk 091 – Rumored Hasbro Generations Selects For Late Summer | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:23

Hubcap, Greasepit, and Exhaust could be coming to an online retailer near you later this summer! A post on TFW2005 by UtahRobotInDisguise shows a slightly redacted image of what looks like part of a wholesale order invoice, showing off three Generations Selects Deluxes and their approximate shipping dates. We have: * Exhaust, a presumed redeco and at least minor retool of Earthrise Wheeljack * Greasepit, which will probably be a redeco/retool of Ironworks * Hubcap, who would be a redeco/retool of Earthrise Cliffjumper Source: UtahRobotInDisguise via TFW2005 All of these had turned up as entries in Toys R us Canada's inventory system previously, so there's every reason at this point to presume this information is accurate. We have, afterall, had literally entire Generations lineups accurately spoiled months in advance with information that seemed much less credible than this.  RFC News Desk 090 – MPM-10 Starscream Revealed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:11

The new Movie Masterpiece Starscream is on its way this September. Hasbro's official Taobao storefront, as well as the official Transformers Facebook page gave us the reveal for MPM-10 Starscream this morning. As expected, it represents Starscream as he appeared in the 2007 movie - which of course leaves the door open for a rerelease later in Revenge of The Fallen deco. The Facebook post notes features such as 50 points of articulation, including poseable hands and movable mouth, various accessory attachments for the arms, and die cast parts. The English information didn't include pricing, but the Taobao product page has it as 1799 Yuan, which converts to about $250. Thanks to all of our Patrons who are making this possible!  RFC News Desk 087 – Generations Selects Super Megatron Officially Revealed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:26

We've got the first photos and release details for TakaraTomy's Generations Selects Super Megatron! Our first look at Super Megatron gives us a good idea just how much work TakaraTomy has done remodeling the Titans Return Galvatron that it's based on. Including new parts for the torso, cannon, plus portions of the arms and lower legs. Plus the new shoulder armor and wings that help to give the distinct silhouette of Super Megatron. And it looks like the head has been retooled to no longer be a Titan Master, and no longer needing to be removed! Super Megatron will release in Japan in late September for ¥6000 Yen. Amazon's Italian and German sites have a product listing up for a mysterious new Earthrise 2-pack! TFW2005 user Jtprime17 reported the new listing today. Besides the name "Earthmode 2 Pack" and a price roughly consistent with that of two Voyagers, there's nothing specific to tell us about this set.
