Let's pretend this wasn't all spoiled hours earlier. The latest Fan First Friday brought reveals for Studio Series, and the second turn at Ghostbuster X Transformers Collaborative. On the Studio Series side, we got to see B-127, the Cybertronian form of Bumblebee which is a redeco of Cliffjumper with a new Bumblebee battle mask head. And finally Dino is making it to shelves in Studio Series after having a couple false starts over the prior years. Dino is definitely not a Ferrari, but the robot looks pretty accurate, and the Transformers team member they had on was talking up the robot mode's articulation in particular as an effort to capture the character as best as possible. The Ghostbusters reveal was indeed just an Afterlife Ectotron. This release features a weathered deco and a very limited amount of physical changes, most prominently the remodeled robot head. It also includes a second ghost figurine. Afterlife Ectotron will be exclusive to Target, which means you won't be able to preorder it when the listing goes live this afternoon. Yes, yes, go ahead and make the Blitzwing joke; I'll wait. Ozformers was finally able to get their exclusive reveal event underway after some unavoidable delays, and even better, they managed to bring us an entirely unspoiled surprise! They showed off Studio Series 72 Starscream, a Voyager based on the Cybertronian battle scene in the Bumblebee movie. Preorders went up a little while later, and Starscream is due to hit stores next summer, around the start of July. Despite visual similarities between it and Blitzwing in their robot modes, Starscream is said to be an entirely new toy. 14 reveals, and only 1 we didn't have specific knowledge of in advance. The latest Fan First Friday has wrapped up, and they came armed with a lot of upcoming product announcements to cram in the half hour runtime of the stream. The full first wave of Studio Series 86 was shown off, though not every toy had a production sample on hand today. Jazz, Kup, and Blurr for the Deluxes, and Hot Rod and Scourge at the Voyager price point were shown off. Leader Grimlock had design CG shown, but a sample wasn't available due to some deco issues. The preorders begin today, and the figures are planned for release in February. They showed off the boxed set version of Studio Series Devastator too, with minor deco modifications and a giant display backdrop. As of posting it's already up for preorder on some retailers for $259.99. Walmart is getting a series of Titans Return rereleases, featuring the TakaraTomy version Headmaster heads, and with new decos. The first wave consists of Chromedome, Hardhead, Brainstorm, and Mindwipe, and they're supposed to be released in January.
