Robo umpires would ruin the game of baseball for me. I love the human aspect, the mistakes, and the imperfections of the game. I understand that millions of dollars and a championship is on the line and the call should be right but baseball should stick to it’s roots and keep umpires.

If you haven’t seen The Captain on ESPN, you need to. They do a fantastic job telling the story of Derek Jeter and it highlights the importance of the team aspect in baseball. The Yankees of the 90s had the makeup that is rarely seen in baseball and it was the real difference between the Yankees of the 90s and the Yankees of the early 2000s.

College baseball isn’t nearly as big as college basketball or college football but they do have the college world series. Phil and I discuss the decision young players have to make between the choice to go to the MLB draft or to do 3 years of college. Man, it’s a choice I wish I had to make.

You’d think the MLB Trade Deadline would be a lot about stats, numbers, and projections, especially from an MLB scout, but Phil throws a monkey wrench into those expectations, and that is a player's makeup and how they would fit in with the team.

If you use the power structure in your definition of racism I have a question for you. Can a Chinese person be racist to a black person, or vice versa? Who has more power to whom? Good luck answering without sounding like a racist.
