In this week’s episode we are delving into Intuitive Eating once more and Expectations vs Reality. Due to quite a few requests we’ll be going through the 10 principles of intuitive eating as well as looking at keeping a food diary.
In this week’s episode we are looking at hunger and fullness cues, this is a very big part of intuitive eating and this is where I often work a lot with clients. With 10 principles there are always going to be some things which are easier than others.
We are going to be looking at three parts in this episode, first off: identifying the thoughts that create this ‘I don’t know what to do, I’ve tried everything possible’ Situation. Secondly, we’re going to look at who we turn to, what we do in order to prove why we don’t have to know it all and give ourselves proof that actually we have a support system, even if that’s not friends and family, maybe it’s colleagues, maybe it's the internet, people on the internet, books, that mean we are not alone, carry the weight on our shoulders and have the answers to everything. Thirdly, recognising possible future opportunities for this to bubble up again.
If you'd like to journal along in this episode, expect to be scribbling down things you never knew about dieting and the diet industry in order to embrace food freedom and intuitive eating.
We can lose our way, we stumble off track, in a direction we’re not quite sure of. This is usually when we prioritise everything else over time spent on the things that make us feel...well...us. Let's look at how we can feel like ourselves again in this episode.
This podcast has been a goal of mine for years, I’ve dabbled here and there, been the interviewee on other podcasts and now I am ready to dive in. Not quite ready, because we’re never fully ready to completely dive into something new, but I’m as ready as I’ll ever be before taking that final leap of faith. How do we know when the time is right to leap?
