It is the ninth tag renewal kiosk in Gwinnett County.Vehicle owners can use the kiosk to renew their license plate without having to wait in a line at a tag office. It will be available during the store’s operating hours, which are 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.

Suwanee earned certification points for working with Georgia Power to retrofit all existing streetlights with LED lamps, which use 50–75 percent less energy.“We’ve woven green initiatives into our long-term strategic plans for the city; being responsible environmental stewards is part of the fabric of Suwanee,” said Billqeece Naqawe, Assistant to the City Manager. “ARC’s Green Communities Program encourages municipalities to build a more sustainable future.”ARC developed the Green Communities Program in 2009 to recognize local governments that invest in programs and policies that lead to a more sustainable region. The city sought a candidate who fulfilled a combination of law enforcement experience, leadership, strong morale, and the energy to stay within our community for many years.Coming to Lawrenceville's leadership from Forsyth County, Mullin has been working directly with county management leading the Code Compliance, Animal Control Services, and Park Rangers Division. Additionally, Mullin served 15 years within the Sandy Springs Police Department, leaving that agency at the rank of Major. Within the Fulton County Police Department, he spent nine years as a uniform patrol officer. Mullin is committed to building partnerships in the community and developing a highly trained police force with little tolerance for illicit behavior. Mullin believes that those wearing a badge bear a responsibility to set a behavioral example and should strive to be servant leaders within the community. His anticipated start date is December 16, 2022.

https://www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com Amid reports about fights breaking out, and weapons being used, in Gwinnett County Public Schools, at least one of the county's court officials is publicly backing the idea of putting metal detectors in schools.Solicitor General Brian Whiteside issued a statement over the weekend announcing he supports putting the devices in the schools. The task force will include sworn deputies from the Sheriff’s Office’s five divisions.
