I was informed by letter today that the House Armed Services Committee is investigating the death of Pfc. LaVena Johnson. The forensic evidence would suggest Pfc. Supporters of the Scott sisters believe that Jamie and Gladys Scott were wrongfully convicted for armed robbery for which they received double life sentences in 1994. Life sentences for a crime in which no one was murdered or seriously injured. According to supporter Nancy Lockhart, the transcripts state that less than $12.00 dollars was stolen during the robbery for which they were convicted. Nancy Lockhart says that witnesses confessed during the trial that the sheriff coerced and threatened them to lie on the Scott Sisters. Terrence Kennedy Special Interview: One of the witnesses of the Dallas, NC police shooting of unarmed man Terrence Kennedy has agreed to talk to the Black Talk Radio Network. Mario Brandon will discuss what the events he witnessed on Jan 24, 2009 when Terrance Kennedy was fatally shot by a Dallas Police officer.

The president of the Gaston County chapter of the NAACP, Clyde Walker is reportedly filing a complaint with the NC Dallas Police Department and asking for support from the NAACP national office. Mr. Walker is quoted by North Carolina news sources as saying that he is talking to witnesses and asking for statements but thus far, many accounts are inconsistent. He joins the program tonight to share informaton first hand on what he has gathered and what his office plans to do. One witness, Mario Brandon made the most serious allegation describing Kennedy being on the ground and on his stomach when he heard an officer say, "shoot him". Read More
