The movie based on the Image Comics title tells of a counter-intelligence unit that uses multiple personality disorder patients to create agents known as Triplets, referring to their three personalities.    This Sunday, February 4th during the Super Bowl - Solo: A Star Wars Story will drop its very first trailer, this according to The Hollywood Reporter; though the trade does say that Disney has declined to comment. This will be the very first look at the movie, which has yet to share anything such as a trailer or official image from the troubled production.   Bad Boys 3, officially titled Bad Boys for Life, has found new life with Deadline reporting that the directing duo of Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah are in talks to direct. Joe Carnahan was originally attached to direct but eventually dropped off. The third movie in the franchise will see Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.   About ten years ago, J.K. Rowling revealed to her legions of fans that Albus Dumbledore was in fact gay, and specifically had a love affair in his youth with a wizard that later turned evil: Gellert Grindelwald. Now in a new interview with EW, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald director David Yates revealed they will not be touching on this backstory in the new movie.    It's been almost 15 years since Mel Gibson's Oscar-nominated picture The Passion of the Christ appeared on screens. Now, the Second Coming of Jim Caviezel's Jesus Christ is in the making. EW has confirmed that Caviezel is in talks for to return as Jesus in Mel Gibson's follow up, in a story that will be based on the resurrection.   A24's twisted horror drama Hereditary earned rave reviews out of Sundance earlier this month and now, the first trailer for the film has landed online. Jaume Collet-Serra is on board to direct the film based on the Walt Disney ride, with Oscar nominated screenwriter for Logan, Michael Green, penning the most recent draft. Johnson has said that the project is inspired by The African Queen, with shades of Indiana Jones mixed in.    AGREE / DISAGREE    Blumhouse Productions and Universal have released the title and poster for The Purge 4, now known as: The First Purge. The fourth film in the popular horror franchise began in 2013 with filmmaker James DeMonaco's home invasion thriller with a twist: one night a year in America all crime is legal, including murder.    Netflix has released the first trailer for Mute, the new film from Moon and Source Code filmmaker Duncan Jones. The long-in-development sci-fi pic stars Alexander Skarsgard as a man unable to speak who's searching for his missing girlfriend in future Berlin.    Production is now officially underway on Blumhouse's new take on Halloween. A new trailer for the February 12th episode of 'Legends of Tomorrow' teases Constantine, Mallus, and a Kid Flash return. 3. In an interview with CBC Radio, Taika Watiti admits that the sizzle reel he used to get 'Thor Ragnarok' was basically illegally torrented and downloaded clips from a bunch of different movies." 4. In an interview with Yahoo, 'Black Lightning' showrunner Salim Akil was asked about Static Shock possibly making an appearance on the show. He said ""I love the idea of Static Shock, and in success, hopefully, we'll be able to pull other characters in in that way." 5. In the latest episode of CW's 'Supergirl', Lena Luthor wears the Lexosuit in a battle with Supergirl. 6. David F. Sandberg posted an Instagram photo of the first slate for 'Shazam!' marking the beginning of filming on the new DC Comics movie. 7. In an interview with Screen Rant, Stephen Lang was asked if he ever got a call from Fox to audition for Cable. He stated "No, no, I never auditioned for it and you know, truth be told, I'm fairly Cable-ignorant." 8. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Wesley Snipes spoke about his attempts to make a 'Black Panther' with Marvel in the mid 1990's. The panel discusses what a Wesley Snipes led Black Panther film would've looked like. 9. Syfy released a new poster for their upcoming series Krypton showing Seg-El standing on the family crest 10. Warner Home Entertainment logo appeared in the newly released traile for 'Deep Blue Sea 2'. The panel discusses if Warner Premiere is back and what films they might be making. It was back in 2016 when Lionsgate hired Hamilton star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda to serve as a creative producer and musical mastermind on the feature film and TV series adaptations, along with Rothfuss. According to Variety, TriStar Pictures has landed worldwide distribution rights to the Mr. Rogers biopic "You Are My Friend," with Tom Hanks attached to play Mr. Rogers. Diary of a Teenage Girl director Marielle Heller is helming the pic from a script by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster. The film is inspired by a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and award-winning journalist Tom Junod. OPENING THIS WEEK Bleecker Street has released the first trailer for Unsane, a horror movie shot entirely on an iPhone by director Steven Soderbergh. The story follows a woman who's convinced she sees her stalker everywhere, and who inadvertently admits herself to a psych ward. Lionsgate has debuted the first trailer for Submergence, the romantic drama from Wings of Desire and Paris, Texas filmmaker Wim Wenders. Based on J.M. Ledgard's 2013 novel, Submergence stars Alicia Vikander and James McAvoy as two lovers who met by chance. In Doctor Sleep, Danny Torrance is now in his 40s and battling the same demons of alcoholism that plagued his father. But when Danny embraces his sobriety, his shining returns and he finds a psychic connection with a young girl who shares his abilities.    THR's sources say it's official. Steven Spielberg will reportedly tackle Indiana Jones 5 as his next project while he starts casting his West Side Story adaptation. The fifth film to see Indiana Jones on screen is set to be released by Lucasfilm and Disney on July 10, 2020. Spielberg is also reportedly taking his time casting West Side Story in order to find the pitch-perfect actors for the musical movie, which has not yet been dated for release.    BOX OFFICE REPORT    AGREE / DISAGREE   The first trailer for The Ritual has landed online. Directed by David Bruckner, the helmer behind popular shorts in the horror anthologies V/H/S and Southbound makes his feature film debut. The Ritual tells the story of four old friends who reunite for a trip through the Scandinavian wilderness after the death of a friend. A wrong turn leads them right into a dark and mysterious forest where an ancient evil stalks them at every turn.    A brand new trailer for Universal Pictures' upcoming Mamma Mia! Charlie Kaufman is making the jump to Netflix. The writer of films like Being John Malkovich, Adaptation., and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and director of Syncedoche, New York will write and direct a film adaptation of the Iain Reid novel I'm Thinking of Ending Things; this according to a report from Variety. AGREE/DISAGREE An unofficial set photo (and first look) has landed online for Brie Larson's Captain Marvel. The movie is directed by Half-Nelson directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, telling what will be the MCU's first prequel story. The movie takes place in the 1990s and will reveal Larson character's origins, with Samuel L. Jackson co-starring as Nick Fury. Deadline reports that Casey Affleck has withdrawn from presenting the Best Actress Award at this year's Academy Awards. According to the trade, Affleck notified the Academy of his decision, claiming he did not want to become a distraction from the focus that should be on the performances of the actresses. Composer Hans Zimmer has been out of the superhero movie game for a few years now, but it appears he's ready to come out of "retirement" by agreeing to score X-Men Dark Phoenix. Collider had originally heard rumblings that Zimmer might be scoring the 20th Century Fox superhero film, with co-star Evan Peters recently confirming the news while appearing on Josh Horowitz's podcast HappySadConfused. In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Sony motion pictures chief Tom Rothman has confirmed talk of a third Jumanji movie, with the head of the studio hoping it will be ready for Christmas 2019. This would put the movie head to head again with a Star Wars movie, as JJ Abrams Episode 9 has already secured a December 20, 2019 release date. The film was recently pushed from its previous release date of April 13th to almost a year later for February 22, 2019. Now, for fans hoping that the movie with a horror-story angle would be R-rated like Deadpool and Logan, Boone confirmed to Empire Magazine that that won't be the case, and the movie will be receiving a PG-13 rating. The Cloververse might be getting a bit more tangled in the near future. First reported by The Tracking Board's Jeff Sneider and now confirmed by THR, Netflix is in talks with Paramount to acquire the next movie in the Cloverfield Universe, previously known as God Particle and rumored of late to be entitled Cloverfield Station. OPENING THIS WEEK AGREE / DISAGREE According to THR, the Warner Bros. animation division is teaming with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to produce a series of feature films based on the characters and stories from the Dr. Seuss catalogue, starting with The Cat in the Hat. The film is now in development and will begin searching for a writer soon. The first trailer has been released for the new zombie horror entitled The Cured starring Ellen Page. Set in a world ravaged for years by a zombie-like virus that turns the infected into cannibals, a cure is found at last allowing the survivors to reintegrate back into society. The movie arrives in theatres on February 23, 2018. Now, a new trailer has appeared on the updated official website, introducing Chris Hemsworth as "Wally Jr." Could there be another RoboCop movie, set in the original continuity and not a reboot? There's a chance, if the original co-writer is to be believed. In a new interview with Zeitgeist Entertainment Magazine, Ed Neumeier, who co-wrote the original RoboCop, revealed that he's working on a sequel.
