April Shaeffer used her experience and career at North Carolina State University to make a change in the agriculture industry. Through April’s Cattle Handling Workshops for women, now in their fourth year, this farmher is helping others find their passion and purpose on the farm. Hear what spurred this FarmHer to cause change. In this episode, Marji talks to April about the issue she saw who saw  dealing with cattle education in her state and how she set out to fix it.

This week on Shining Bright, Marji talks to a first generation FarmHer who uses her creativity to build a future for her family. Heather Dinneen has found her own place on the farm, making and selling baking mixes, and growing their direct to consumer meat business, The Yellow FarmHouse.
