Zach Ferenbaugh is an integral part of the media company The Hunting Public where he is helping to bring the masses unfiltered public land hunts from across the country.  Following in the footsteps of great hunters like Dan Infalt and the group from Whitetail Adrenaline, Zach and his partners are finding ways to successfully hunt those high pressure public lands, and capture the hunts along the way using the latest media distribution mechanisms like Amazon Video, Youtube, and Podcasting. 

At first glance, Tommy Bradenburg is just a  common blue collar guy, doing his thing, raising a family in midwest USA.  But then you take a closer look, and you say wow, this guy is hunting and killing some big deer- routinely, year after year.    Tommy, outside of his 9-5 day job, is embedded in the deer hunting community and his a hardcore deer hunting habits recognize some uncommon success killing big mature whitetail bucks. 

Chris Cordell the first and only hunter in the world to complete a double slam in one season. He's hunted and killed over 200 whitetails and place over 30 Pope and Young Whitetails on the wall before the age of 35. Chris is also an outdoor writer, product designer, and inventor for the  archery & hunting industry.  Away from the spotlight for a while, Chris is posed to pick up his old habits and continue helping hunter's hunt better.

Six one, 360 pounds. That's where Dennis Pridgen weighed 3.5 years ago.  Today, 160 pounds lighter, weighing in at a lean 200 pounds, Dennis has found a rejuvenation for everything he loves, life and deer hunting.  Dennis attributes his successful weight loss to a popular diet called the ketogenic diet.   Dennis walks us through how he dropped the 160 pounds in a relatively short amount of time and how the weight loss has drastically help his career and his ability to hunt.

As Longfellow wrote in his infamous poem Paul Revere's Ride, "One if by land, two if by sea" describing the Redcoat's travel plans from Boston to Concord. Now it's the hunt, and perhaps a new fight for freedom, that is conducted in the suburbs of Boston where the American Revolution began.  According to Justin Coots and Jacob Bennett, members of a fairly new band of bowhunting patriots call Boston Bowhunter, it's darn good hunting in and around Boston. 

We've heard the expression 'Hunt the Wind' over and over.  Many of us base our entire hunt on exactly that concept.   But what if that was all wrong?    I had to dig deeper so we put Michael Yates on the mic stand to discuss amongst other things: hunter efficiency, ground disturbance, hunting upwind and not down wind, several ground hunting tactics and ambush set ups.

Sometimes those kills shots don't go as planned or sometimes, despite a double lung shot, the deer finds it's way into terrain or structure that make the wounded deer track undetectable to the hunter.  A trained deer tracking dog can be an immeasurable asset to a hunter in these situations. But how does it work?  What should we expect when we call in the dogs?  We invited a panel of volunteer leashed dog deer trackers to discuss many of the issues surrounding tracking a wounded deer with a trained dog.

Hunter recruitment is critical for our sport to survive.  But what's to blame?  Is it social media?  Is it a lack of hunter unity? Is it the media or the anti-hunter winning over the middle ground?  These are tough questions to answer,we need answers to reverse the trend of declining hunter numbers.   I've always been fascinated with John's ability to successfully take coyote with a bow an arrow. But how the heck can you get a good bow shot on a coyote?  John discusses his strategies.

This year in August Ralph and Vicki's will air their 400th episode on the Outdoor Channel.  From Ralph's archery shop grew the television show and together they were the first couple to produce an outdoor television.  They've hunted 5 continents, 11 countries, 10 Canadian provinces, 27 states, and have take over 50 species of game. We figured they learned a thing or two about hunting strategies over the years, so we asked them to share. This time we discuss current deer related issues and trends like the legality of crossbow use, cellular trail cameras, drones, CWD prevalence, testing and cost, top hunter land management practices, hunter numbers, deer tag requirements, venison donation programs, state deer management plans, and lawsuits.

White-tailed deer are arguably the most important game species in North America. Kip Adams, Director of Conservation for the QDMA, would agree. But how to the numbers stack up state to state? The Northeast editor for Deer & Deer Hunting Magazine, Richard's articles and photographs have appeared in nearly every major outdoor publication in America. Otherwise known as R.G. or Dick, Richard has perfected the craft of outsmarting Maine's crafty big wilderness hog-bodied bucks, both with gun and camera.

An taking one coyote out of the pack, will save deer fawns.  Al Morris says that coyote management is an essential tool for maintaining the health of your deer herd in your area.  We dive deep into technique relative to the time of year you're hunting coyote and how to use a buddy system set up.  Al also shares some results of some studies, his latest call sequence and when to use it effectively.

Joshua Franks uses readily available internet satellite images to study land, terrain, cover, and topography. He also uses this information to determine bedding areas, food plot and stand locations. Josh heavily focuses his studies in mature buck bedding temperature and has recently co-authored a book about the subject with Bill Vale. Josh uses temperature to determine where and why to hunt on certain areas on certain days.
