Kevin started by laying out what we know about the CIA whistleblower in question and what is in his complaint. Kevin described how the whistleblower went through the proper channels, and how this was handled by the Director of National Intelligence. Also discussed were the allegations in the complaint and why government employees blow the whistle in the first place. We argued that people who blow the whistle tend to believe very strongly in the construct of government and feel strongly about corruption. Also touched on was how this whistleblower, as an employee of the CIA, may have viewed this conversation as an affront to the CIA’s stated goals in Ukraine. Kevin and I also looked at some of the secondary figures named in the complaint like Kurt Volker. His connections to Raytheon and NATO might have more to do with this story than meets the eye. We also discussed the possibility of impeachment, the political nature of it and how this could backfire for the Democrats in the future. Becky Tribute Extra Podcast Ponder Gander Ochelli 9-27-2019 Tribute to Becky Haines Becky Tribute Extra Podcast Instead of or crafting a long tribute to my friend that lost her battle with cancer on Monday morning, I take this space to write a personal note of advice to you who dares read my show notes. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/18704368.Becky_Haines I have many times in my life failed to express to the truest gems that they had uncommon value. Telling those you love that you do in fact love them is just one thing that helps one to avoid regret. Sadly we are often so caught up in life that we forget to marvel at the graceful spirits that gifted us with the light that simply came from them being themselves. I must urge you that not communicating the special impact someone has on you is precisely what the most irrevocable regrets are made of. Keep in mind that as days disappear into the future history and the timelines of life grow short that opportunity to simply let those that matter know that they are unique in your heart and mind dwindles and has no way of reminding you that everything is finite. Surviving many times beyond the life span of those you cherish can leave you with a pang of profound sadness. Leaving too many things left unsaid makes those scars more like open wounds. This I warn you against, I live with it far more than I should, and all I had to do to avoid suffering this was to speak up when I had the chance. Tell those that matter around you that they do. Let those you love know that with every chance you see to do so. Withheld words do nothing for the dead. When unspoken by the living, expressions owed can become the ulcers on your soul that have nowhere else to go and just eat away at you from the inside. Life is like a party. Parties can be bad scenes, great times, and all things in between. When certain people leave the get together you know your good time is winding down. I don’t have these regrets about my friend Becky, but she reminded me on her way home that it’s always best to say what you have to at the party because when the guests go home there is no guarantee you will see them again. One of the Soviets he supposedly made contact with was Valeriy Vladimirovich Kostikov. Little was known about his role, but early assassination investigators claimed that Kostikov was likely part of the feared Department 13 assassination unit of the KGB. A potential meeting between an enemy spy and the future Assassin of JFK has been part of many narratives among Conspiracy and Lone Nut Theorists for decades. We started by discussing the fact that Q has not posted anything since August 1st (due to the 8chan’s removal). Robbie talked about how the Qanon community has handled the absence of “Q drops.” This has mainly taken the form of Q followers believing that Trump’s tweets are now coded messages from Q. We then looked at how Trump himself has become an active participant in the conspiracy theory. Robbie talked about how unprecedented it is to have a sitting president seeding a conspiracy theory, and simultaneously being viewed as the hero in the narrative. Robbie also discussed the historical roots of the Qanon theory and its connections to PizzaGate. He talked about how Qanon evolved out of PizzaGate and the possible role that people like Erik Prince and Steve Pieczenik have played in promoting it. We finished off by looking at how the Qanon theory has influenced the public’s understanding of the recent scandal involving Trump, Biden, and Ukraine. In the second hour, I open the phone lines. Jon Gold called in and gave us an update on the ongoing 9/11 lawsuit against Saudi Arabia. We talked about Barr’s decision to release the name of the high ranking Saudi official who was overseeing the two San Diego hijackers. Later, I talked about the allegations that Iran was behind the recent attack on two Saudi oil facilities. I laid out my reasons for why the US was so quick to shift blame away from the Houthis. I also explored the idea that Iran was behind the attack.
