We started off with the Official Caller Ken Ruben then ShuttletrainTED called in. Bart Jennings chimed in with the NRHS Alaska 2013 Convention information then we did a rundown of events for this unique convention.  AC Adam mentioned his favorite railroad was the old Santa Fe as it was also mine. ShuttletrainTED liked the old Frisco Railroad. Chris talked about his job and tied it in with trains talking about the old Pacific Electric Bridge across the Santa Ana River.

This week's Let's Talk Trains starts off with a holiday theme. We will visit with two Botanical Gardens as they describe what it    takes to come up themes for their annual Holiday Train Floral exhibit. In the second hour, we will conintue our conversation about tresspassing and whether or not railroads are doing enough to prevent it. This falls on the heels of a St. Louis Post Dispatch series and the recent coverage of a photographer in Sacramento killed while taking photos on the tracks. Skip Waters will be your host today on Lets Talk Trains.  Following the usual LTT callers, we will hear from Dr. John Bertini of the Galveston Railroad Museum.  After four years recovering from Hurricane Ike, the museum is having its re-grand reopening.  One of the big events will be the arrival of the newly restored F units, painted in the livery of the Santa Fe Warbonnet, probably the most recognizable paint scheme in the history of railroading.  Then during out second hour, we will hear from Mr. Sam Teague, President of Railroad Artifact Preservation Society and the Santa Fe Fifty Hundred Team of the ATSF 5000 "Madame Queen".  Who's vision is to restore the 5000 to steam power with the goal of operating steam excursions from its historic home of Amarillo, Texas.  We have an All the Way Santa Fe show today on Lets Talk Trains... won't you join us!
