Paul on Friendship: Loyalty and Usefulness | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The Apostle Paul faced his approaching death with confidence in God, but also with real vulnerability. In this message from the concluding verses of 2 Timothy, Alistair Begg directs our attention to the important roles that Luke, Mark, and Tychicus played in the life and ministry of Paul. By their loyalty and usefulness, these men illustrate the practical value of faithful ministry to Christ and the providence of God in ordering even missteps and failures for His glory. From "Truth for Life" by Alistair Begg. Used by permission.

Prepare Your Child to Face the Future! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The Other Side of Grace | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We, the church, are the bridge God created to impart grace to the world. We must appropriate the grace God has given us. We don't go to church, we are the church. How do we know that we are doing church right? We grow in knowledge, love and service. Preached at North Coast Church. Used by permission.

The Greatest Things in Life are Accidents | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Francis teaches on the importance of trusting in God to lead us towards what is best for us. Planning, while not always a bad thing, can be counterproductive if planning keeps us from depending on God. We have to be willing not to have our way, and be careful not to get so set in our plans that we don't leave room for God to have His way in us. Our ultimate trust needs to be in God. Preached at Cornerstone Church, Simi Valley, California. www.crazylove.org. Used by permission. Watch full screen HERE.

You Don't Know Dave 1: The Voice of Love | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We can listen to the voices of rage and anger in our lives. We can hear the shouts of the world around us, or we can listen to God's voice of love. David learned in his lessons with Saul and Nabal that God avenges, God lifts up and we need to trust Him for justice and peace. Preached at Casas Church. Used by permission. Sermon and video begin at 29:30.

Daring Greatly 4: Peace in Your Storms | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Jesus stilled the storm for his disciples when they were terrified and paralyzed with fear. Christ is not threatened by our life's storms. He asks us to dare to see ourselves in light of His power in us. We need not be hijacked by the gale force winds blowing against our lives. Preached at Casas Church. Used by permission.

David's Courage: David and Goliath | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The classic story of David and Goliath answers the question, "What does real courage look like?" David's heart surfaces in this story of fear and faith. "David showed us that when the odds truly are against us and re feel overwhelmed, the single most important thing we can ever do is to remember what is most real-the character, power and rule of God." (Becky Pippert, "A Heart for God.") Preached at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. www.gospelforlife.com/freesermons

Fear: Fearing God (Proverbs 1) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

What is the secret to life, according to Solomon: the fear of God. Fear is not terror. Rather it means, "I am going to bend to God's better way. I am not going to trust my feelings, or my will, or my instincts. I am going to be open to what God says and put that into practice, even if it isn't what feels right at the time." it's a decision to be open, to be teachable, to submit to god's better way. This is the one trait that separates the highly effective, very wise people in life: the fear of the Lord. Preached at Chase Oaks Church. Used by permission.

How to Be Brave: Avoid Negative Thoughts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

There's no limit to the good thoughts God wants us to have. So, why do we waste so much time preoccupied with our doubts and fears? How are we supposed to handle these thoughts? Pastor Steven teaches us how to be brave in our faith by developing a courageous state of mind, holding onto the thoughts that come from God, and demolishing the thoughts that take hold of us. Preached at Elevation Church. Used by permission.

A Few Good Men...and Women! (Judges) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

CLICK ON VIMEO ICON OR WATCH HERE. The Bible says that the nation of Israel followed God faithfully throughout the life of Joshua and the elders who succeeded him. But when that generation of leaders died out, the Israelites spent the next 400 years in a cycle: disobedience, punishment, repentance, and deliverance (Judges 2:10). So the new generation began to worship the pagan gods of their new land, until God finally used those pagan nations to punish them. God would punish them by allowing them to be oppressed by one of the neighboring tribal nations. They would cry out to God in repentance and beg for deliverance. During those times of punishment, God would raise up Judges political, military, and spiritual leaders to lead Israel back to Himself. There were several Judges, but a few of them capture the cycle of the entire 400-year period.

Finish Strong: Caleb | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Caleb modeled radical faith into his later years. King Asa, in contrast, trusted in his allies rather than God. Instead of getting comfortable and complacent as we age, we should surrender more, release more, rely more upon God. Finish stronger than you started. Take risks and see how God comes through. The goal is to live "happily ever after" when God will say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Preached at First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu. Used by permission of First Presbyterian Church.

The Allure of Lust: David and Bathsheba | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

King David's affair shows us that we all are vulnerable. Remember that you are weaker than you think you are. Run. Avoid tempting situations and redirect your energies, especially if pornography is involved. Find someone who fought the same temptations and secure their help. Confess to God and receive His strength, wisdom and forgiveness. Preached at First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu. Used by permission.

Losing Your Marbles: Don't Let Time Steal Your Family | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

"Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Number your days, seize opportunities to love and mold your children. When you see how much time you have left, you get serious about the time you have now. Preached at National Community Church. Sermon begins at 4:00 minutes.

What is God's Will for My Life? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This is one of the most common and most important questions people ask about God. The answer is bigger than we sometimes think, and, while it is not always easy, the way to find the answer is simpler than we sometimes think. Be like Jesus. Be with Jesus. Read God's Word. Listen to God's people. WATCH SERMON VIDEO HERE. Preached at Southeast Christian Church. Used by permission.

Loving the Unloved | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Jesus healed in many ways, but in the case of the leper, Jesus reached out and touched him. The very essence of Christianity is to touch the untouchable, love the unlovable and forgive the unforgivable.
