C10 Talk

Stylin Concepts was founded by Mr and Mrs Gary Case in 1987, and from there they didn't look back, because they couldn't  - they were so damn busy slingin them parts.  Gary attributes his vision and "stylin" from his Street Rod days.  The trucks were so stylish that they needed a truck show to showcase these rad ass trucks and all the "Stylin Concepts" parts. So Gary started the Sport Truck Nationals, during the 4th of July weekend every year. 

Love him or hate him, we have a great time and I feel he has a great story to tell. We crack some Barley Pop's and talk all things, Gas Monkey Garage, the past, and the future. He is an energetic entertaining MoFo, who is always down for two things - a good time and a good hustle. So many topics hit - The car he would love to have, the car he won't sell, Saudi Arabia auction, ex wives, new wives, bosses, and Discovery. Tune in, grab a cold one and enjoy.

The Cali Crew, Welcomed us with open arms. We sang, We Danced, We C10'd!! The C10 Comprades, Dropped Lower, C10 Club Sac, Provost Motor Sports and John Oro put on one hell of a show and they are ramping it up for 2020. So plan on going if you can.

Cody is a 20 year old who has fought cancer twice in the last 3 years. He also loves C10 Trucks and has one that he is trying to get finished before he turns 21. With the help of so many great companies like GSI, Accuair, Budnick Wheels, Black Widow exhaust, CPP, Nitto Tire, and many more - the truck is well on his way and he is on the home stretch along with the help of the Make-a-Wish foundation. 

Solomon Lunger has a vast back ground for being in his mid-20's. He has already made his mark in our truck scene, last month he was the photographer on all three, C10 Builders Guide, Street Trucks, and F100 Builders Guide covers - Amazing! Solomon and I talk about his new job, with Provost Motor Sports, shooting so many cover trucks, and features. The difference between the East Coast and West Coast Truck scene and of course we talk Chevy vs. Ford. 

Mark Oja - Has been in the automotive scene since he was a young man in Canada.  He had dreams of working in the states, and Boyd Coddington. Then a few years later Mark found himself painting cars for Chip Foose, on Overhaulin.  Mark has been building rad 88-98 trucks for over 30 years, we are stoked to have Mark on the Podcast and talk to him about the uprise of the 88-98 trucks. Mark has some killer things in the works so make sure and give him a follow.

Aaron and Emily (Williams) Reeves are a true power couple in the automotive scene. They Co-host Flying Sparks Garage on YouTube    Live, Love, Wrench on Motor Trend and are involved with a ton of other things in the Automotive market place. SEMA, RoadKill, Hot Rod Power Tour and Hot Rod Drag week to name a few.  Last year they bought a C20 Utility Truck and took it on Power Tour. We are glad they are officially in the C10 Nation. Some how they keep a balance and make it all work. 

Kirk Stricker was moving from Alabama to Cali. Along the way he decides to stop by Gas Monkey Garage and buy some shirts.  While he's there - Richard Rawlings see's his 1969 GMC Short bed truck and wants to buy it!  Kirk has to clean up a few title things first, planning to take the truck with clean title back to Richard the next day to make the deal.  The truck is no longer on the trailer when he walks out of the hotel the next morning! DAMN SON!! Tune in and listen to hear what becomes of it.

OBS Takeover! The 88-98 trucks are a special breed and are definitely making a come back! To kick off the OBS interviews, I thought I would reach out to Travis Dulgerian from Pro Performance. Travis and his team are definitely C10 guys, but they love their 88-98 trucks as well.  So of course we are going to have some fun with it - OBS take over ever now and then.. why not.  Thanks guys, please share the pod, and leave us a review as well. I had a great time learning about how Sean Provost, got into C10 trucks, and from there was able to assemble a kick ass group of guys to create the Provost Motorsports team, in Woodland California.  Thanks Sean and Dennis (Meyers) for stopping by and letting me drive the Blazer. 

Korry, like most guys always wanted a C10. Well when Korry wants something he doesn't just want a regular something - he wants it to standout!  Like Bare Metal!  Korry is also the Top Fuel record holder for Motorcycle's at 255 MPH - backed up!  He's crashed 3 times going over 200 mph as well!! DAMN SON - I told you he's a nut! Yes, we do eventually get to talk about his bare metal C10 "GR8SCOT" and why he left it bare metal and what it takes to keep that damn thing clean. 

Joe Molina is a OG C10 Vato for sure. With the Help of John Schick,, they started the Instagram Page, C10 Vato's and really haven't looked back. They are active in our scene and both have killer C10 Trucks.  They love C10's, Tacos and so much more - it's no wonder they have such a rad page.  Check out the episode to hear how it all started and what new things Joe has up his sleeve for not only his page, but his Severed in the Southwest truck Show as well.  Thanks Joe, Ronnie
