On today's show, Director and filmmaker, Tony Osso called in to discuss the inspiration behind his beautiful YouTube documentaries, The Devotion Project. The Devotion Project is a six-part series of short documentary portraits featuring LGBTQ couples and families, celebrating their commitment and love. Also, co-host Jeff Schroeder and I discussed the harm parents can do to their children when they don't express their love properly.

Happy April Fool's Day! We didn't play any pranks, although we did try to track down the day's origins. Instead, we have two teens who’ve set out to make a big difference in the world, Annaliese Snowhook and Avery Ward from The Bella Foundation and comedy writer and author, David Misch. The Bella Foundation is teen founded, teen governed and teen driven. The Bella Foundation's mission is to design and carry out projects that impact problems identified by the teen board of directors locally and globally. Projects have included creating family portraits for moms escaping domestic violence, fundraising, and making micro-loans to women in developing countries so that they can start or expand their own business. For David Misch, an established TV comedy writer, humor is a very serious topic, but a subject the reader will find thoroughly entertaining in his latest release "FUNNY: The Book." While recognizing humor may be easy, explaining it without losing the comedy, takes talent. Counted among David's credits are shows such as "Mork & Mindy," "Saturday Night Live" (SNL), "Duckman," as well as "The Muppets Take Manhattan" and the pilot for David Letterman’s first talk show. Misch has written, created, and produced programs for NBC, CBS, ABC, HBO, and a host of other channels. Joining as co-host today is filmmaker Ryan Fox who also gave away 2 DVD copies of his feature film Railed.

We made it through another great week. On Monday, Sherry Layne and Eric Shane were in studio to co-host with me as we welcomed comedienne Deven Green. On Tuesday, Jeff Schroeder was back as we welcomed filmmaker Pat Solomon, who came in to discuss his documentary Finding Joe, about the philosophies and teachings of Joseph Campbell. On Wednesday, Cindy Hooker and I welcomed professional organizer and author Regina Lark, who’s new book: Psychic Debris, Crowded Closets, not only changed my perspective about my possessions, but has inspired me to clean out my garage! Later in the show we were joined by actress Courtney Merritt, who can be seen on ABC's Suburgatory and who received a surprise phone call on the air from her former TV mom from CMT's Working Class, Melissa Peterman. On Thursday, Jeff and Welcomed actress Shari Belafonte who called in to talk about her current photography exhibit and later in the show, we caught up with Dave Dini for some motivational wisdom to close out our week!
