 Defeating Doubt | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:08

Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: Luke 7:18-28 Series: Heaven Series Order: 01 Location: Grace Bible Church Southwood Have you ever struggled with doubt? Have you doubted God's existence or the truth of the gospel? Or have you doubted something the Bible says about God, that He loves you, forgives you, hears you? If so, you are not alone. All believers struggle from time to time with doubt, even such mature saints as Moses, Elijah, and in Luke 7, John the Baptist. From John's example we learn that doubt is not necessarily sin or a sign of immaturity. It can actually be a cause of great growth in our lives IF we respond to it rightly.  Six Steps to Reach the Lost | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:32

Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: Acts 17 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 08 Location: Grace Bible Church Southwood We know that we should be sharing our faith, but few of us are doing it on a regular basis. How do we close this gap between knowing about evangelism, and actually practicing it? How do we take something as huge, overwhelming, and scary as "evangelism" and make it a practical part of our everyday lives? Paul gives us the answer in six practical, relatively easy steps found in Acts 17. To reach the lost, we need to CARE about them, INITIATE with them, ADAPT our message to their needs, FOCUS on the essentials of the gospel, COMMIT to them for the long-haul, and PRAY for them to the God who saves. Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: John 17:11-18 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 07 Location: Grace Bible Church Southwood This world is not our ultimate home. Our destiny, our hope, is with the Lord for all of eternity. It would be foolish for us to invest all of our energy attempting to find fulfillment in this life. However, as long as we are here, we are on a mission. We are called to bring truth and grace to bear on every relationship, every responsibility, every arena of life in which we live. Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: John 16:23-24 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 06 Location: Grace Bible Church Southwood Prayer is unnatural, even for the most spiritual among us. Yet nothing is as valuable. Prayer is our greatest privilege, it changes us for the better, and God really does act on it. Jesus set an example of prioritizing prayer. Are we willing to learn from Him? PowerPoint Slides and notes available at www.grace-bible.org

Speaker: Brian Fisher Scripture: Matthew 26:36-44 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 06 Location: Grace Bible Church Anderson Prayer is unnatural, even for the most spiritual among us. We must learn to pray, and we can only grow in prayer through practice. Jesus set an example and provided instruction for enjoying intimacy with His Father through prayer. Are we willing to learn from Him? Are we willing to grow and change rather than just complain that our prayer life is not what it should be?  Here Comes the Bride | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:23

Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: Revelation 19:7-9 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 04 Location: Grace Bible Church Anderson Though we merit nothing more than to be Christ's slaves, He has chosen us to be His perfect bride. This beautiful picture of the Church as Christ's much-loved bride is presented throughout the New Testament. It reveals, first, the radical love of God for us, proven in His choice of such an unworthy bride and His willingness to pay such a costly price to purchase us - the death of His one and only Son. It reveals, second, the basis of our incredible hope in this life, because on that day when takes the church as His bride we will experience unparalleled joy and satisfaction that only His love can provide. And finally, it reveals our responsibility as His bride, to be wholly devoted to Him and to walk in obedient submission to Him so that we will have reason to rejoice rather than to be ashamed when we see Him face-to-face.  Getting More from God's Word | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:49

Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:14-17 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 03 Location: Grace Bible Church Anderson God's Word is our foundation. But like all things that take effort, to learn from and apply God's Word, we need both the desire and the ability to do it. Why should we want to be in God's Word? Because unlike most anything else in life, we can absolutely depend on it. And more than any other book, seminar, or counselor, it provides the help we desperately need to make our lives work. As we grow in our desire for God's Word, how do we then refine our ability to get more out of it? We grow as students of God's Word as we learn and practice a simple four-step method that helps us clearly observe, accurately interpret, and powerfully apply God's Word.  The Church: Stewards of God's Grace | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:53

Speaker: Brian Fisher Scripture: John 1:14-18 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 02 Location: Grace Bible Church Anderson God supplies what He requires. The Law was holy and just, but it had no power to transform us, no power to enable us to become what God had designed us to be - temples of the Holy Spirit, radiating His glory throughout the world. But when God sent His Son, we became sons and daughters through the grace of God. Grace is powerful; grace is free; grace is unconditionally available to all. Through grace we have eternal life and eternal access to the presence of God. Thank God for His grace in Jesus Christ. PowerPoint Slides and notes available at www.grace-bible.org

Lessons in Worship | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:49

Speaker: Blake Jennings Scripture: Psalm 63, 145 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 01 Location: Grace Bible Church Southwood We hear the word "worship" all the time and know that it's important, but do we really know what it is? And more importantly, do we really know how to do it? From Psalm 145 we will learn from David first that worship is Surprisingly Simple. It is simply proclaiming to God to ourselves and to others how great He is. Second, we will learn that worship is Sunday to Saturday. Worship must not be limited to a one-hour block on Sunday; we must learn to nurture hearts of worship all week long. David continues to instruct in Psalm 63, where from his hardships we find that Suffering can Strengthen our worship. Finally, we see that worship is Supremely Satisfying, the most satisfying activity we will ever participate in. PowerPoint Slides and notes available at www.grace-bible.org

Imperatives of Worship | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 34:24

Speaker: Brian Fisher Scripture: Psalm 63 Series: The Church: Stewards of The Mystery Series Order: 01 Location: Grace Bible Church Anderson The primary calling of God's people in every age has been the same - worship. To proclaim God's worth above all competitive allegiances. To proclaim God's worth in truth; as He is, not as we imagine Him to be. To proclaim God's worth in every place, at all times and with our entire being. This is the calling of God's people. PowerPoint Slides and notes available at www.grace-bible.org
