It reveals, first, the radical love of God for us, proven in His choice of such an unworthy bride and His willingness to pay such a costly price to purchase us - the death of His one and only Son. It reveals, second, the basis of our incredible hope in this life, because on that day when takes the church as His bride we will experience unparalleled joy and satisfaction that only His love can provide. And finally, it reveals our responsibility as His bride, to be wholly devoted to Him and to walk in obedient submission to Him so that we will have reason to rejoice rather than to be ashamed when we see Him face-to-face. And more importantly, do we really know how to do it? From Psalm 145 we will learn from David first that worship is Surprisingly Simple. It is simply proclaiming to God to ourselves and to others how great He is. Second, we will learn that worship is Sunday to Saturday. Worship must not be limited to a one-hour block on Sunday; we must learn to nurture hearts of worship all week long. David continues to instruct in Psalm 63, where from his hardships we find that Suffering can Strengthen our worship.
