Durango is well known for the outstanding riding available in the area. I lived there for three years and can say it is amazing! On top of that, they have a very good development program out of the area. A few years back, the Durango Devo Elite squad emerged. This squad is full of up and coming young development riders who are crushing it even at the Pro level. Tonight we will talk with two of those riders, Payson McElveen and Sepp Kuss, about their experiences including training, racing, nutrition, and the developments into the Pro field.

May 2, 7:30 am Mountain Time. Race director of the new X100, John Kolarevic, joins the show to discuss his new Michigan endurance mountain bike race set for August 24th near Traverse City. 7:30pm Eastern Time, Tuesday, April 30 Danielle is back with another episode of Girls & Gears. In this episode, she talks with Jill Martindale and Emma Higgins. Last September, Jill and Emma battled adverse physical and mental conditions to complete an 18 day, self-supported 1,350 mile ride along the Lake Superior Circle Tour. It was the second of the great lakes for Jill, who plans to ride all five before trying her hand at the Tour Divide. The trip had been a first for Emma, who liked it so much that she is joining Jill around Lake Ontario this July. They met a few neat cyclists along the way, got their spirits squashed by Canadian locals, and saw a bald eagle in every tree. Be sure to listen to hear all the details!  

6:00pm Mountain Time, Friday, April 26 Live, on-location from Tin Shed Sports in Nederland, Colorado! Ed Turkaly (Turk) will be riding the 2,745 mile Continental Divide in June. He is raising money for research and education of Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome (SDS), a rare, life threatening, bone marrow failure disease that affects his son. Ed's ride will honor his son and all patients with SDS. All are welcome to come to Tin Shed Sports in Nederland, Friday evening to join in the discussion. You can help Turk and SDS by donating HERE.

The Whiskey Off Road is a premiere mountain biking weekend based in Prescott, Arizona on April 26-28. U23 National Champion and Trek Factory rider, Russell Finsterwald, and Orbea-Tuffshed rider, Kalan Beisel, both join the show today. We will discuss training, nutrition, and racing for the 2013 season. Beet juice, altitude tents, and power training are just a few of the things that will be discussed in this show.
