Brian Matter joins us to discuss his win at the first race of the Wisconsin Off Road Series (WORS), the Iola Bump & Jump and his plans for the rest of the season. Brian is one of the top racers in the country and consistently is at or near the top in many of the biggest mountain bike races. This year is focusing on the fall cyclocross season as he races through the summer. He finished the 2011 WORS series in 2nd place in the overall competition. He also won the Chequamegon 40 and Ore to Shore. Brian almost completed the Triple Crown (winning Cheq 40, Ore to Shore, and Iceman Cometh in the same year), but fell while dueling Jeremiah Bishop in the last 800 meters of the Iceman Cometh in November. Matt Gersib (http://dirtstories.blogspot.com/) joins us to discuss his race in the marathon category of the Psycowpath Mountain Bike Series race, the Battle Royal at Platte River. We also discuss his plans for the Dirty Kanza 200 in June and the Dakota 5-0 in September. The Psycowpath Mountain Bike Series (http://www.psycowpath.com/) is a premier mountain bike racing series in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa. The series includes many types of racing, including cross country, short track, and time trials. For 2012, there are 7 race dates scheduled. Tanner Davis joins us to talk about racing the second race of the Warriors Cycling (http://www.warriorscycling.com/), the Ridgeline Rampage. In the 30 mile half-marathon race, Tanner competed against 17-18 year olds and finished within an hour of the winner. Son of friend of the show, Jonathan Davis, Tanner has some good endurance experience already under his belt......at only 12 years old! Matt has just started getting into the mountain bike world. Although he has some endurance experience as a former Ironman competitor, hours in the dirt is something new. We'll chat with him to get his thoughts on preparing for an endurance mountain bike race, his race, what he learned, being a father, husband, and dental student while juggling riding and whatever else comes to mind.

Adam Haid of the Trek Bicycle Store Team based out of Boulder, Colorado (http://team.trekstorecolorado.com/) joins Mountain Bike Race Minute to discuss his race and his thoughts about endurance racing, the course, and his competitive teammates. Adam finished a very respectable 13th of 48 starters in the competitive 30-39 age group. Just finishing 66 miles on a mountain bike can be a struggle, but Adam cranked it out in 5 hours and 37 minutes.
