As a basketball coach at Louisiana State University for 25 years (1972-1997), Coach Brown appeared in 15 straight national tournaments and is the winningest coach in LSU basketball history. He led teams to 17 consecutive non-losing seasons. Only four coaches have won more conference championships than Coach Brown and he has won conference championships in three different decades. He has led his teams to two Final Fours and four Elite Eights. He was named SEC Coach of the Year or runner-up nine times and was twice named National Basketball Coach of the Year.

Tom also consults with college and professional sport teams, and he spent June 2010 in South Africa working with the U.S. Men’s Soccer Team at the World Cup as their sport psychologist. Tom holds a Ph.D. in sport psychology from the University of Virginia. Prior to his transition to consulting, Tom served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the college level for 18 years, 15 of those at the University of Virginia (1982-1997).
