Coach Trimper is entering his 4th season as the Head Coach of the Stetson program where he rewrote the record books during the 2018 season. Overall record: 48-11- tied for most wins in a season in program history. ASUN record: 15-3 (1st place). ASUN Tournament: 4-0 (Champions). NCAA DeLand Regional: 3-0 (Champions)- first regional title in program history. Home Record: 32-3 best in Melching Field history. Finished season ranked in every national poll: Baseball America (12), Collegiate Baseball (10), USA Today Coaches Poll (13), D1Baseball.com (10). Finished the 2018 season with a program record NCAA final RPI (7). Six Hatters were also selected in the MLB Draft in June, including Logan Gilbert by Seattle, who was selected in the 1st round (#16 overall). Coach Brendan Suhr is joined by the Head Coach of the Pacific Tigers Damon Stoudamire. After finishing up a stellar playing career in the NBA, Stoudamire began his coaching career at Rice University before being hired by the Memphis Grizzlies as an Assistant Coach. He then transitioned back to the college level as an assistant coach at both Memphis and Arizona before being named the Head Coach at Pacific on March 16, 2016. He now enters his fourth season as the Pacific head men's basketball coach. Last season, Stoudamire coached the Tigers to their best conference finish since rejoining the West Coast Conference in 2012-13. After finishing up a stellar playing career in the NBA, Stoudamire began his coaching career at Rice University before being hired by the Memphis Grizzlies as an Assistant Coach. He then transition back to the college level as an assistant coach at both Memphis and Arizona before being named the Head Coach at Pacific. Coach Brendan Suhr is joined by the Head Coach of the Southern Utah Thunderbirds Todd Simon. Coach Simon is in his fourth year at the helm of the Southern Utah University men's basketball team after being named the head coach on March 24, 2016. Simon’s third season with the program was one for the record books, and one of the most successful the program has experienced in recent memory. The Thunderbirds qualified for postseason play for the first time since 2001, and won the first postseason game in the program’s Division I history in the First Round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. The T-Birds defeated the Drake Bulldogs, who were Co-Regular Season Champions of the Missouri Valley Conference. The 2018-19 season provided several milestones. SUU finished .500 for the first time since the 2006-07 season with a mark of 17-17. The T-Birds won nine Big Sky Conference games, which was the most the program had earned since joining the league. They also secured back-to-back winning non-conference records. Prior to Southern Utah, Simon was named interim head coach of the UNLV men's basketball program in January 2016 and immediately led them to three consecutive victories. During Simon's 17 games as interim head coach, the Runnin' Rebels ranked as the number one team in the nation in adjusted tempo, scoring more than 100 points in four games. UNLV finished with a 9-8 record, despite playing with as few as five scholarship players. While he was associate head coach with UNLV he also played a critical role in assembling UNLV's roster, which Rivals.com ranked its 2014 recruiting class No. 5 in the nation, while the 2015 class was ranked No. 11. Prior to his tenure as a Runnin' Rebel, Simon served Findlay Prep for seven years in both head and assistant coaching roles.  As head coach at Findlay Prep in 2012-2013, he led the team to a 35-1 record, including eight wins over top-25 ranked teams. The 35 victories are the most wins in school history. During Simon's tenure at Findlay Prep, they accumulated an overall record of 192-9. During his career Simon has helped develop and coach several players that have become top NBA draft picks, including Anthony Bennett, who was selected as the top overall pick in 2013, Rashad Vaughn, who was picked No. 17 in 2015, and Avery Bradley. Other NBA player's Simon has coached in his career include Christian Wood, Jorge Gutierrez, Cory Joseph, DeAndre Liggins, Nick Johnson and Tristan Thompson. Coach Brendan Suhr is joined by Micah Shrewsberry, Associate Head Coach of the Purdue Boilermakers. Shrewsberry has learned from the best coaches in America, spending the last six seasons as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics under head coach Brad Stevens. He helped the Celtics to the playoffs in each of the last five seasons, including trips to the Eastern Conference finals in 2017 and 2018. Under Shrewsberry, the Celtics' offense was one of the best in the NBA this past season, ranking sixth in the league in 3-pointers made and seventh in 3-point percentage.  Shrewsberry returns to Purdue where he was an assistant coach during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons before departing to Boston. He helped the Boilermakers to the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Prior to his time at Purdue, he spent four seasons at Butler under Stevens, first as the coordinator of basketball operations, then as an assistant coach for the last three seasons. He helped the Bulldogs to the 2010 and 2011 national championship games before starting his two-year stint with the Boilermakers. Coach Brendan Suhr is joined by the Bob Delaney. Delaney is a former NBA Referee, Retired New Jersey State Trooper, Leading Authority in Post Traumatic Stress, Corporate Educator & Motivator and also currently serves as a Special Advisor to the Southeastern Conference. He has served the NBA in various areas of officiating development, including most recently as the Vice President, Referee Operations/Director of Officials. He is the founder of two schools that trained officials for high-integrity roles within the NBA, WNBA and college basketball. His Performance Enhancement Program (PEP) has provided training for the NFL, U.S. Army, FBI, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Homeland Security and more. During a 25-year NBA officiating career, Delaney officiated more than 1,700 regular season games, more than 200 playoff games, nine Finals and two All-Star Games and was one of the NBA's highest-rated crew chiefs. In 2003 he received the prestigious Gold Whistle Award from the National Association of Sports Officials. In this episode, Delaney takes you inside the responsibility of an NBA Official as well as a look back at his time as a State Trooper in New Jersey including a 3 year undercover job to infiltrate organized crime and how he uses that experience today to help people navigate post-traumatic stress.
