Dr. Hunt, is the director of the Division of Injury Response in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). With twenty years of experience in emergency medicine and acute injury care research, he has been instrumental in leading an effort to identify gaps that exist in the area of acute injury care for our nation. In addition, since his appointment, he has guided research and preparedness activities in disaster and terrorism response as it relates to injuries and fostered partnerships with the acute injury care community that will be crucial in a mass casualty event.  Dr. Hunt began his career at CDC in 2004. Prior to that time, he served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University at Syracuse.
