Don't forget to stop by JapanesePod101.com for more great Japanese Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Formal ---- 埼玉県の秩父祭は、秩父神社の例大祭で、毎年12月2日、3日に行われる。 豪華な彫刻などで飾られた屋台4基と、2基の笠鉾は、国重要有形民俗文化財、屋台歌舞伎や神楽は国重要無形民俗文化財に指定されており、日本文化を考えるうえでも、非常に貴重なものであった。 この「秩父祭の屋台行事と神楽」や「川越氷川祭の山車行事」など、18府県33件の祭りで構成する「山・鉾・屋台行事」が、2016年12月、ユネスコ(国連教育科学文化機関)の無形文化遺産に登録された。 能楽や歌舞伎、和食、和紙などに続き、日本の無形文化遺産は、これで21件となる。 これらの行事は、地域社会の安寧や厄除けを願って行われてきた祭礼だ。 また、祭りで巡行される「山・鉾・屋台」には、華やかな飾り付けがなされることが特徴である。 「山・鉾・屋台」は、祭で迎えられる「神」の依り代としての役割をもち、迎えた「神」を歓迎し、慰撫するために造られる。 これらの造形には、長い年月にわたって受け継がれてきた日本の伝統的な技術が用いられている。 その技術的なレベルの高さもさることながら、こうした伝統的な技術には、地域の自然環境を持続可能な範囲で利用する知恵も含まれており、そうした点が評価されているともいえるだろう。 また、何世代にもわたって受け継がれてきた祭礼行事では、コミュニティーの結束が必要不可欠であり、そうした結束をさらに促す場としても機能してきた。 これらの祭礼は、世代を超えて受け継がれる知恵と技術、そして祭礼によって強められる地域の絆があってこそ、現代まで残ることができたといえるだろう。 こうした点が、評価されての登録である。 ----Formal Vowelled---- さいたまけんのちちぶまつりは、ちちぶじんじゃのれいたいさいで、まいとし12がつふつか、みっかにおこなわれる。 ごうかなちょうこくなどでかざられたやたい4きと、2きのかさほこは、くにじゅうようゆうけいみんぞくぶんかざい、やたいかぶきやかぐらはくにじゅうようむけいみんぞくぶんかざいにしていされており、にほんぶんかをかんがえるうえでも、ひじょうにきちょうなものであった。 この「ちちぶまつりのやたいぎょうじとかぐら」や「かわごえひかわまつりのだしぎょうじ」など、18ふけん33けんのまつりでこうせいする「やま・ほこ・やたいぎょうじ」が、2016ねん12がつ、ユネスコ(こくれんきょういくかがくぶんかきかん)のむけいぶんかいさんにとうろくされた。 のうがくやかぶき、わしょく、わしなどにつづき、にほんのむけいぶんかいさんは、これで21けんとなる。これらのぎょうじは、ちいきしゃかいのあんねいややくよけをねがっておこなわれてきたさいれいだ。 また、まつりでじゅんこうされる「やま・ほこ・やたい」には、はなやかなかざりつけがなされることがとくちょうである。 「やま・ほこ・やたい」は、まつりでむかえられる「かみ」のよりしろとしてのやくわりをもち、むかえた「かみ」をかんげいし、いぶするためにつくられる。 これらのぞうけいには、ながいねんげつにわたってうけつがれてきたにほんのでんとうてきなぎじゅつがもちいられている。 そのぎじゅつてきなレベルのたかさもさることながら、こうしたでんとうてきなぎじゅつには、ちいきのしぜんかんきょうをじぞくかのうなはんいでりようするちえもふくまれており、そうしたてんがひょうかされているともいえるだろう。 また、なんせだいにもわたってうけつがれてきたさいれいぎょうじでは、コミュニティーのけっそくがひつようふかけつであり、そうしたけっそくをさらにうながすばとしてもきのうしてきた。 これらのさいれいは、せだいをこえてうけつがれるちえとぎじゅつ、そしてさいれいによってつよめられるちいきのきずながあってこそ、げんだいまでのこることができたといえるだろう。 こうしたてんが、ひょうかされてのとうろくである。 ----Formal English---- Chichibu Festival in Saitama Prefecture is an Annual Festival at Chichibu Shrine, held on December 2 and 3 every year.
