I have met men through friends, at church, networking functions, etc. but I am feeling like most men just want sex right away. What is up with that???  Expectations or Demands: Does having sex mean you are in a relationship? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:29:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live So I'm talking to one of my friends he tells me he had sex with a woman he has been seeing. The issue is that all day at work she has been calling, email and text him as to how happy she is that they are in a relationship. She even sent flowers to him with a card that read new beginnings. On top of that he told me he never told her they were in a relationship or exclusive, and she said when I opened my legs to you that's when we started our relationship.  Value of an engagement ring Can a woman propose with it or not? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:59:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live forum: Tonights topics include-- My man wants to get married, but get this - he said he has saved $500 to get me a ring and wants to start looking. Really? He makes good money - I can't believe that's all he saved for a ring. My mom said I'm being materialistic and selfish, but I'll have to wear that ring forever. I was thinking of matching his $500 w/my own money so I can have a decent engagement ring. What do you think? I don't want to hurt his feelings about it, but what kind of ring am I going to get for $500? I've been with my man for 2 yrs and we have talked about marriage many times, but he hasn't asked me yet. I went and bought him a ring and proposed to him myself. He said "no", and then told me he found it a turn off that I bought a ring and asked him to marry me--he says it's a sign that I don't "know my role" in our relationship. I am hurt, and what I did was out of love. What is the problem? So my fiance and I decided to elope and run to Vegas and get married. I had already purchased her ring prior to leaving and she decided to wait and purchase my ring in Vegas. When we arrived she went into this huge Pawn Store and picked it up then we proceeded to the ceremony. We decided to stay a couple of nights in Vegas as newlyweds, so I decided to hit the pool and swim for a few hours. As we were driving back home I noticed my ring started to fade and then by the next week it turned green. She said she got the ring she wanted me to have and it was suppose to be a white gold ban :(. Should she replace it or should I just keep it since it is the ring she wanted me to have?  Drama Invitations...What would you do? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:43:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live What would you do GSRT? I'm in the middle of a no-win situation. Since my ex-husband and my boyfriend have beef (they've actually fought before), am I wrong for asking my boyfriend to be the bigger man and not come to my son's high school graduation so that my son can enjoy his day with no drama and tension? My boyfriend and I have only been together for a 1 1/2 yrs so it's not a "he raised my son" situation. How do you handle it when your man's family keeps inviting his ex-wife to every family event? They were married for 10 years, but they don't have kids. He and I live together and have been in a relationship for 2yrs. I'm tired of seeing her at every damn event. I've talked to him about it and he says his parents were always close to her, it's their house, blah blah blah and he won't say anything. I'm at the point where I don't want to go to the family functions Mature Talk for Mature Times, this is an open dialogue for Men and Women of all ages, open communication and straight forward talk. Mature Talk for Mature Times, this is an open dialogue for Men and Women of all ages, open communication and straight forward talk. Charles, Kimberly Marie, Mikial and GSRT forum members discuss topics posted on the forum the past week. Member Question: Why when people get married and they have outside kids the kids scream you love your wife or husband more than me even after you've tried to make them apart of everything you do. Is this something being told by the baby momma or daddy or is it just the kids way of try to cause problems with you and your new Spouse? Member Question: I have been divorced now for about 3 years after being married for 14. I just felt like it was time I started back dating over the last year. I have gone out with this one guy twice, and at the end of the last date he tells me that "I don't chase pu$$y" and that "If we ain't f#ckin let him know cause he's got options" Then another guy I gave my cellphone number to, a week later he starts sending me pictures of his p*nis.. WTF is all this about? Is this whats going on out here?

Spouses vs side pieces: Whats the point of a confrontation? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:43:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live If your spouse cheated on you and then left you, would you be compelled to confront the side piece? Do you confront the you spouse? Whats the point? Member statement To my husband’s side piece: I know who you and you now know who I am. Now my soon to be ex-husband has moved you in, so I attempted to talk like two grown women, but that seems to be beyond your abilities. Now I understand that you are angry, upset and feel that I have ruined your new love by taking what I feel I deserve after 13 yrs. of marriage. You are young and silly so you don’t know what you’ve taken on, but let me tell you: All of those weekend trips you went on when I thought he was at work? I hope you enjoyed those, because with alimony, child support and paying the mortgage on what is now MY house, he can’t afford to take you to Burger King, let alone a romantic getaway somewhere—no wonder you’re mad. And since my kids are at his house every other weekend, and some weeknights, I guess those romantic nights out dinner and dancing have probably slowed down too. Also, don’t forget that since his back surgery he takes a few medications, as well as some for high blood pressure – that’s why sometimes he can’t perform the way he used to. But I was married to him for years, so I understand this. And while he spent money on you while you were his new, fun thing, he is pretty tight w/his money and I’m betting the lingerie, flowers, etc. have stopped coming your way. He travels for work a lot of the time, so you’ll be on your own unless he takes you with him which I understand he doesn’t any longer. He doesn’t cook, but now that you live with him, you found that out. The Ex Wife

Lesbo Thugs and HeBitches: Gender based myths or Reality? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:42:00

--GSRT Wednesday night live--- Tonights discussion will be about  Gender based misconceptions, sterotypes, and myths of the black community. Do any of them have any validity? More importantly WTF is going on? Are we all having an identity crisis? Do we know who we are? Or are we the problem because we except accept these labels? When people start statements by saying all black men or all black women, these people are perpetuating the same divisiveness that the media and predudice/racist people have doing for years. What are some solutions to this issue? Call in if you have anything to add.  What do you do with stuff recieved from past relationships? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:00:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live   Member Question: So my girlfriend and I have been spending a lot of time at my place. Now, I have been a bachelor for quite some time, and have had my fair share of past relationships. Last week, we got into an arguement over my juice maker. She was always using it and enjoyed it so much that she wanted one as well. So she asked me where I got it, and I told her it was a birthday gift from my ex-girlfriend back in '05. She got pissed and told me that I needed to let go of all the things that my ex's had given me, because to her, I never truly gotten closure from my past relationships. I told her that I was not getting rid of anything! And, how I get closure is totally different from how she does. I got closure from that previous relationship and have twice moved on with my life. I am keeping my dam juicer whatever else I feel I want to keep. What do you do with stuff recieved from past relationships? Do you have to get rid of those things?  Dating Rules and Roles/ Discussion on Trayvon Martin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:00:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live   A woman told a  guy she was seeing that the role of a man is to initiate and or show interest by asking a woman out. She equated that to manhood and that if he did not do this then he was not a man. He then responded what if I don’t appoach you right away, and you aren’t showing me any interest, does that speak to your womanhood.  Women have superceded traditional roles in other aspests of life today. So why is it that women want men to adhere to traditional roles when comes to dating. Also we will be having an open discussion on Trayvon Martin killing, the Florida Stand your ground law and why is George Zimmerman not arrested yet?  Who says more than one sex partner is a bad thing? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:00:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live Member question: I am single and dating two men. I also have safe sex with both of them. My sister judges me and says that I’m loose….really? Isn’t sex supposed to be enjoyed? Both men know that I’m seeing another, and neither has a problem with it. I practice safe sex so I’m healthy. When did things get so uptight? Who says more than one partner is a bad thing? I can’t believe I’m the ONLY person who is in this type of situation.  No Romance without Finance! REALLY? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:00:00

GSRT Wednesday Night Live Forum. What are the effects of being unemployed on relationships? What are your views on the unenployment system? Member Question: A friend told me I'm shallow and materialistic because I will only date men that have a certain physical look, and if he doesn't have a car/job/house...I ain't got time. I don't think I'm shallow - I have criteria that needs to be met in order to date a man. Why is that wrong? Member Question: I was talking to a woman today and she said that since she is in her mid 30's she and has her own job, home and car that she wouldn't even think of dating or being serious with a man who did not have the same. What do you think about that GSRT? Charles, Kimberly Marie, Mikial and GSRT forum members discuss these questions as well as several other topics posted from the past week.
