Phil Wright - The Late Show
The first half hour is virtually a straight take of the last half hour of a Kevin Savage Drive show from May 1982 but thereafter the whole thing has been crafted from a multitude of pieces.

Capital 80s Mix - A Bridge Over Turbulent Airwaves
Capital Radio 604 Birthday Special by Adrian Horwitz for 2011. The theme is a day on Capital in the early eighties and features slots of Alan Mann, Tony Newman,Jim Ellery,Kevin Savage, Treasure Tshabalala and Alan Pearce in the correct weekday order and two short inserts of Martin Bailey and Brian Oxley. There are also three news bulletins and an historic 5 minute soccer commentary from Orlando stadium by Mark Greenstein.
Here is Capital Radio 604 on its first day of broadcasting on December 26th 1979 from 6PM to 8PM. This was originally recorded as a snoop tape, meaning the tape recorded only while the presenter's microphone was live. Originally used to coach presenters, snoop tapes almost always captured the end of the previous song and beginning of the next song, plus many other things like jingles, drop-ins, and the start of advertisements. Adrian Horwitz (ahorwitz@lantic.net) has painstakingly reconstructed these 2 hours from the original snoop tape that has survived until today, by inserting the full songs and advertisements (when possible), where only snippets were originally captured on the snoop tape. This is almost exactly how it sounded on air. Enjoy!
