 The Cry | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:27:05

A desensitized and demoralized duo look to understand the mind of a teenager in 2006 all while Aaron sounds like he is recording in a tin can. Aaron also tries and fails miserably at remember the name of a band at about the 10 minute mark.  It is in fact Hawthorne Heights (specifically their song "Ohio is for Lovers".  For other 00's emo/screamo recommendations (?) feel free to reach out to the show.     My Bad Poetry 2.16: "The Cry" End Poem from a Real Poet: "Thoughts in a Jail" by Katharine Rolston Fisher Podcast Email: mybadpoetry.thepodcast@gmail.com Twitter: @MyBadPoetryThe1 --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mybadpoetry-thepodcast/message

 Gas Station Roses & Harvest (w/Mitchell Nobis) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:46:20

With Dave unable to make the recording do to work, Mitch and Aaron soldier on through some... really bad poems.  Whether or not they were trying to emulate gasoline infused roses or a manure covered country side one could say these poems stick.   Mitch has nobly dug deep into the archives of his past collections to find what perhaps should have remained well hid.    My Bad Poetry Episode 2.15: "Gas Station Roses" and "Harvest" (w/Mitchell Nobis) End Poem from a Real Poet: "The Spine" by Mitchell Nobis published in Hobart. The book Read Writing: Modernizing the Old School Essay which he co-authored can be found here.  Find Mitchell Nobis and more of his work on his website and/or follow him on Twitter @MitchNobis.  "Friend" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:24:09

Aaron and Dave speed through what may be the pinnacle of Aaron's piney private "poetry", that or it's darkest valley (they landed on the latter).  From a late lunch to an early out, this time crunched episode really makes you wonder what they talk about when the episode tapings run long.    My Bad Poetry Episode 2.13: "Friend" End "Poem" from "Real" Poets: "It's Gonna be Me" by Andreas Mikael Carlsson, Martin Max, and Rami Yacoub... also Dave's honorary mention "Friend is a Four Letter Word" by John McCrea (which was equally as good of a suggestion).  Podcast Email: mybadpoetry.thepodcast@gmail.com Twitter: @MyBadPoetryThe1 --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mybadpoetry-thepodcast/message
