This is our Sunday Sermon and today, VR is talking about the rising of dayspring on high and the blooming of the works of God in us both now and in the life to come, for "what a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason! How infinite in faculty! In form and moving how express and admirable! In action how like an angel! In apprehension how like a god! The beauty of the world! The paragon of animals!" This is a look at the love of God and the work of God in us, and the title of VR's message is this:- 'Who rules the World to Come?' or, 'The City of the Future' or better still 'Heaven. What's the real attraction?'

Christ our Lord, Christ our Saviour, Christ our Master, Christ our Mentor, Christ our Commander, Christ our Captain, led the way in showing that is the normal way of the Christian to traverse the sharp mountain ridges of suffering. VR today is delving into the forgotten language of the modern church, the ancient tongue of the Psalms. Surely evidence of the Spirit filled life is the speaking together from the Psalms? In this lost language is both a revelation of some of the unhappiness in the earthly home of Jesus and some of the pressures upon him from which we ourselves can also find the expression of our own broken hearts. If your past is crushing you tonight if your present is squashing you, if your future is frightening you, then this message is for you for Christ is fully associated with the all the sufferings of His church. This is a meditation on Psalm 69 and the title of VR's message is this:- "The Duet of the squeezing of the Lily", or even, "The sad home life of Jesus," or better still "The Long Crushing of The Christ"
