Summary: Episode #029 Please welcome Lieutenant Maria Ruano of the Uniformed Division. Lt. Ruano has served with the USSS for more than 14 years. She started her career at the White House Branch before transferring to the Naval Observatory Branch and then on to the Counter Surveillance Unit for the Vice Presidential Protective Detail (VPPD). Lt. Ruano was promoted to Sergeant in 2014 and then assigned to the White House Branch. Then she was selected as a classroom instructor at the James J. Rowley Training Center for two years before getting promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and transferred to the Special Operations Division (SOD) back to the White House Branch. In 2019, she was named as the Operations Lieutenant at SOD/ K9 where she is currently assigned.
