He has been nominated for “Best New Drummer 2016′ By Rhythm Magazine and named “2016 Session Musician of the Year” by The Boston Music Awards. Jonathan has been recording and touring with artists around the world for more than 18 years and is considered the area' most in demand drummer.<br> <br> Key points from today's podcast:<br> <br> Playing the game: After his parents nagged a snare, kick, and cymbal from a neighbor they would soon find out that Jonathan would do what ever would take to get a jam session in. First sessions included his dad putting his cymbals on his dowel while his brother positioned it upright next to him mimicking a high-hat and snare setup. He would soon be fitted with a sexy ludwig kit when his parents saw how serious he was.<br> <br> Keeping up with the Joneses: Jonathan gives us an in-depth breakdown to how he ticks in matters of keeping the session work in, the practice time flowing, the gigs consistent, and the family first.
